BMS CAT & Mellon Certified Restoration

Small leak from indoor air handler resulted in water damage. Insurance sent Mellon out and they promptly dried the floor but tore up portions of the floor exposing concrete with black, airborne floor adhesive. Nearly 3 months of unanswered phone calls and emails, we were so graciously released from our contract. They low-balled certain areas of the estimate making our budget tight, over charged for so many things (approximately $65 to remove a bi-fold closet door???) and added significantly to their margins for 'labor' the materials would have been worse than what they were supposed to replace. Poor customer service, unscrupulous practices and the termination of the contract resulted in me doing all of the labor to deconstruct the rooms, move the appliances, furniture, etc., paint, finish work. The flooring installation still came to the price they quoted to the insurance company, however, the time invested chasing them down, arguing, and ultimately doing half the job myself, ended up costing me more than the payout.

The carpentry and painting was done in a timely manner. The quality of work was very good. For carpeting, we had to wait for the sub-contractor to install the the carpet. The wait was longer than what we wanted. In the end, the work was done to a high standard.

Brain and crew have done an excellent job putting our house back together after our recent water damage from a broken water pipe.  Excellent crew of guys came to do the work. Timely, professional, respectful of our possessions.   They did a great job with the dry wall, painting, etc.  Even a few little issues that arose later they came back to fix.
The best part was this company worked with our insurance company to get everything paid for.

This project went very well. Multiple representatives from the company came to my home for follow up on the status of the equipment and how well my floors and walls were drying. All staff were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and prompt. The cost above was for about 6 days of drying and daily follow-up.
