"Highly recommend Bill and his crew for any water infiltration issues they did an outstanding job installing an interior French drain/sump pump and rerouting 2 downspouts to and installed a box drain. Canâ t express enough how much I appreciate them and their hard work was a true blessing to me to have them available to complete the job."

"Raecon Plumbing responded quickly and came the same day, but didn't have the right snake to clear the drain. They promised to return the next morning but had to reschedule to the afternoon. Once they came with the big snake, the job was done quickly and the drain was fully cleared."

"Chris is very professional, friendly and on time. He worked quickly to resolve the issue and even replanted and flower bulbs that had to be moved for the excavation. He was the third plumber to evaluate the job and I'm so glad I chose him. I am usually a perfectionist and Chris met all my expectations."

"Great experience from the get-go. Owner Bill did estimate himself; was a straight shooter with much experience. Didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Office staff Amberly, Tara & Jennifer were quick to respond to my emails & calls. Onsite workers Mike, Al, Brandon & "Mellow" were attentive to my needs/requests and worked their butts off hand-digging ditches in my rocky ground with few breaks. No more puddles in my garage and gutter water is now draining many feet from my house. This is the only local company that I could find who worked with downspout drainage issues. Great job all! Thanks. LMR"

"I had low water pressure in my sink. Brickhaas Plumbing worked around my schedule when setting up an appointment. The aerator in my faucet had to be replaced and due to corrosion was difficult to get to. But Dominic persisted and was successful. The price was $125."

"Excellent job. Work area kept neat and clean throughout the project, workers were great, daily progress good, very open communications, explanations were right on, Green Landscaping was very responsive to changes needed, price was right and payment schedule good. Excellent job on the wall, step and paver installation. It is lovely. Tree and shrubs are very nice. Great job on grass planting area. The drainage system required a lot of trenches to be dug and all downspouts to be connected to the main new pipe. Great job on this as well. I highly recommend Green Landscaping."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Preventing water accumulation involves regular inspections, maintaining effective drainage systems, ensuring proper roof maintenance, and taking preventive measures against heavy rainfall or floods.

The P-trap (or S-trap in older homes) under your shower is designed to prevent sewer gas from coming back up, so you shouldn’t normally experience foul odors coming from your shower drain. If you do, the vent stack that introduces air into your plumbing system may be clogged, or you may have a more severe sewer main blockage. In either case, hire a plumber to fix the issue for you.

Applying drain cleaner is a common DIY solution to clogged drains, but it can be extremely harmful to your pipes and lead to corrosion and leaks. It is almost always better to try snaking a clog than using a drain cleaner, but the best solution is to hire a professional plumber. They can locate the clog and gauge the severity using a camera system and then decide if using a plumber’s snake, auger, or drain cleaner is the best option to remove the clog and limit damage to your plumbing system.

On average, a plumber will take 30 minutes to two hours to clear a clogged drain. If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. If the clog is deep within your plumbing system or is a severe blockage, it can take two or more hours to remove the clog. For this reason, main line clogs tend to take longer, usually between two and three hours.

Yes, frozen pipes can cause a toilet to stop working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which can lead to two main problems. First, the supply line to the toilet tank may be frozen, which prevents the tank from refilling with water after you flush. Second, the drain pipe itself can freeze, blocking water from flushing away. As a temporary solution for a non-refilling tank, you can manually add water, but this is not a long-term fix. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try pouring warm water into the toilet bowl or tank and then flushing, as the warm water may help thaw the ice blockage. Ultimately, the best course of action is to unfreeze the affected pipes to restore your toilet to full functionality.
