We offer all types of flooring. We also build custom showers and remodel bathrooms and kitchens. Before and after hours appointments are not a problem, just ask.

Looking for contractor who cares, call me...small business where the owner is hands on....Hire me to do your job you become my boss until job is complete and you are completly satified with the work...Thank You

"Delays were due to pandemic and work stoppage - not contractor. Once my unit was ready they installed immediately and despite challenges of being a building built in 1858 he and his team got it done. I was instantly impressed with the unit and can't say enough about being worth the cost! I could use my deck all day - despite the hotter than usual summer - had privacy with added screen - and the remote makes opening and closing it 'magic'. I wanted the option of removing coverage in the colder months so I could watch sunsets from inside. I will say the ads for Sunsetters don't do them justice - the canvas models are better looking than the ads show. Keith was low pressure but informative about the options. Glad I made the call and had one installed!"

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Glass, ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone are all excellent choices for tiling a shower floor. Some glazed finishes can be slippery when wet. Your tiling contractor can provide more information on which tiles will work best for your shower floor.

Whether you want to match your tile trim with grout comes down to your personal preferences. If you match the two, it can help your tiles to stand out while providing a clean, cohesive look. On the other hand, you might opt to match your tile trim with your tiles. The best option will depend largely on your tile design, as well as how it fits overall with the rest of your room.

Ceramic tile installation costs around $2,000, ranging from $500 to $6,500 on average. The size of the area, the tile rating, the type of installation, and the type of ceramic tile impact costs. The cost of installing tile flooring can vary depending on the shape of the floor. Some of the most common floor shapes cost as follows:

  • Square: $2–$10 per square foot

  • Rectangle: $2–$15 per square foot

  • Hexagon: $8–$20 per square foot

  • Mosaic: $10–$30 per square foot

  • Non-standard: Up to $40 per square foot

Most professional shower tile installations take between six and eight hours, depending on the size and complexity. Most projects get completed in a single workday. DIY-ing the project takes around three to four days or roughly 16 hours. However, this will vary based on the skill level of the person completing the work.

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.
