Jim was able to get the boiler started but the pump was history. They were able to get a pump installed and had the furnace working that day.

I was really pleased. This was my first time using them, and would recommend them. I have them service my unit each year as well. All their service men are very knowledgeable, and they do a good job.

They installed the wall system that is ductless system. It is satellite so it can go in different rooms and areas os areas could be turned off so you only have to use certain ones with the carrier system outside. Incredibly a neat system. The other person said it would be about 2 weeks. They came in and gave me an exact date. They were in and out in one day with booties and a whole crew. It was like so impressive. I would recommend them because of their professionalism but yet personalization. Quality of the product and cleanliness. Total commitment to dates and procedure of methods that were recommended. Excellent follow up! The explanation of the system was very good as well. Would use them again without a doubt.

Let me start by saying that the date is an estimate to the best of my recolection. I will dig through my records to find the exact date, and update this as soon as possible. The technician arrived at my house, tracked his filthy nasty boots across the carpet. Didn't stay on the runners that I had put down. He went into the basement where the air handler is, he left some tools in the basement. Then he went out to work on the outside unit. After an hour or so he came back in said that he was done and went down the basement to get his tools. I wrote him a check, and didn't think anything of it. Two days later, as soon as I opened the basement door, I was hit by a strong mildew odor. I went down, and found that the area where the air handler is was soaked. Several ceiling tiles had fallen the drywall was sagging, the carpet was totally drenched. It turns out that the technician had opened a valve that he should not have. Over the winter the frost proof valve going to the outside of the house cracked. As long as the valve was closed there was no problem. As soon as it was opened, water started gushing back through the wall into the basement. The technician had no business opening any valves with asking first. When he went back into the basement to get his tools, he obviously saw what had happened, but he chose to get out as quickly as possible and not tell me what he had done. If he had I probably could have saved the carpet, and possibly the dry wall. When I contacted Fayette Furnace, I asked to speak to the owner, I explained what had happened, expressed amazement that the tech didn't tell me what he had done. I told him that I would turn it into my home owners insurance and asked the his company cover the deductable. The reply was "You can't prove that my man did it". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Did I see him do it? No. Was the valve right next to the outside unit opened and left running for a considerable amount of time? Yes. There was a divot washed out in the mulch. Nobody else was back behind that shrubbery except his technician. After that the owner refused to take my calls. Now granted, the tech had no idea that the valve had failed. That is why I only asked that they cover the deductable. But after the technician saw what the result was he should have told me what he had done. The fact that he just grabbed his stuff and ran, is unbelievable. I have used Fayette Furnace many times in the past and was satisfied with the service. But if this is how they deal with a repeat customer, after one of their mistakes, I would urge anybody to steer clear. I will never use their company again, and will let as many people as possible know how they do business.
