Splendidly! I can't say enough about these gentlemen. They are fabulous! They worked hard, very timely in their arrival and accomplished a great deal in the day and a half the job took. I didn't hesitate to leave them when I had to run out. Our deck looks brand new! They even pressure washed our wooden furniture and sealed it. They did a wonderful job.

The project was done in a timely manner. They came when they said they would and stayed until the project was completed. In my opinion they did a very good job. They were a little pricey but I didn't mind paying when a job is done well and there are no problems. I would definitely use them again.

Mr. Banko helped us get rid of what could have been a big problem.

Had them do two jobs in the past 2 months. Excellent on both. Installed a smart door lock and fixed a nuisance screen door in one trip, later came back and installed new drainage pipe. Always available, very flexible, and patient. And of course the work is top-notch.

Very punctual and professional. Some of the best work I've ever had done in my home. On time, cleaned up and stayed until the work was complete. Can't say enough good things about Don and Brian. Excellent work and good people! Hire them for your next project.

Don and Brian are very talented and know what they are doing.  They are honest and upfront about the service they provide.

Let me first say, i have previously owned rental properties so i have had my experiences with numerous contractors. I am thankful for Angie's List because that is where i  found Don Banko and Son.  Not only do they show up in the time frame quoted they show up with lots of energy and great big smiles! That means something to me as too many times I have had grumpy contractors show up at my door acting as tho they are doing me a great big favor. Don and Brian gave me an excellent price, did a great job repairing the chimney and cleaning the gutters was an extra bonus for me! Seriously,  if you are looking for someone who not only does great work, but does it like they enjoy it. ( i really think they do) Then please give them a call. Of course because of the work and personality of these 2 guys they are pretty busy, but you can expect good honest advice and if you hire them for the job, great work and more than likely a little laugher and lots of smiles!

The extremely cold temperatures this past winter caused the ceramic tiles in our kitchen to shift and "tent".  On the advice of the contractor, we submitted a claim to our homeowners insurance. The contractor was present when the claim adjuster came to assess the damage.  This was a job that most contractors would have avoided, but Mr. Banko was happy to help. He ended up removing 52 loose tiles.  He removed the thinset and cement board, cleaned everything up, and put in new floor board and thinset when resetting the tiles.  He then removed three basement windows and installed new glass block windows.  Don and Brian showed up on time each day and worked until the jobs were done, always acting in a professional manner.  They do quality work for reasonable prices.  They always respond quickly when I call.  I can't recommend them enough to anyone who needs work done to their home.

Don and his son showed up on time and covered and protected my floors, my furniture and even the air in the rest of the house.  He explained to me what they were doing...how long it would take and enabled us to check in and see how the job was going.  Don finished the work ON TIME, ON BUDGET and with PERFECT CRAFTSMANSHIP. 

Don was asked to duplicate an archway that joins the two rooms and he did so with precision.  As a professional Artist I wanted to add some of my own finishing touches and he even worked with me so that I was able to complete the portions of the project that I felt comfortable doing myself.

In addition, my husband pointed out some construction performed at our home by another contractor which we felt might be a bit sub-par...Don agreed and explained to us what the safety standards in the industry are and IMMEDIATELY fixed the mess someone else had left us.

Not only am I SATISFIED with the job Don did for us...I feel safer in my home and I know that I have a reliable, professional I can call whenever I need something done right...the FIRST time!!!

Don and Brian did an outstanding job. They arrived promptly and prepared to begin work immediately. They cleaned up each day and made sure we were given a daily update on the progress and the plans for the next day. I liked how they do not juggle several projects at the same time - they start and stay with a project until it is completed.

The bathroom needed all new plumbing , drywall, flooring, and installation of new fixtures. It looks great. The adjoining laundry area was created out of an enclosed porch. They had to plumb and wire the area. Also a new floor was installed. They took time to carry the washer and dryer up from the basement and make sure they worked properly. Also helped me remove an old refrigerator- not part of the project and done as a friendly gesture.

I highly recommend Don and Brian. They are excellent contractors, fairly priced, and very friendly. It was a pleasure to have they do the work.

It took them about 3 weeks to start the project because of their schedule being full. But once they started, it only took them 3 days to finish. They had to cut out a portion of the ceiling and spray for any mold, reinstall insulation and then replace ceiling.They were very clean, blocked all drywall dust. very professional.

Don and Brian Banko (Banko & Son) are by far the very best contractor that I have ever used.  They start the job and work very hard to complete it as quickly as that can.  They are very experienced and do great work.  The are very professional and they have great personal values.  I did not only find a great contractor, I made a couple of very good friends.  I will recommend Banko & Son to all of my family and friends.  I am very pleased of a job WELL DONE!  Thanks to Don and Brian!!!

Don very promptly returned my call when I first contacted his company.  We set up an appointment for him to come and look at the job and give me an estimate (it seemed a little high, but maybe it wasn't at all....I have no idea....no point of reference....maybe it was actually a great deal).  Regardless, Don spent some time locating the root tiles, as I have a terra cotta roof, and shortly after they arrived, he and his son came and began replacing the tiles and making the other repairs.  The whole process took about a month (the actual work took a day and a half), but Don called me frequently to let me know what was going on as it took some time to find the tiles, and then getting them ordered and delivered, etc.  I appreciated the fact that he would touch base with me frequently, and I wasn't sitting wondering what was going on.  When he and his son came to do the job, they were prompt, professional and both very polite and friendly.  They were neat and cleaned up after they were finished, and the roof looks great!

They are honest, caring, prompt, and clean...all things that you don't find in others in this profession all of the time!  They became like family to my kids and I trusted them to be at home with my family when I was not there, and my wife was thrilled that she could trust someone.  This after building the home and remodeling an office with dozens of other contractors who would not show up or do what they were supposed to do or be of an altered state.

Don and Brian are the only people that I refer to because I know that they are going to do what they promise.  Not sure I can say anything else that means so much!  They have done so much and do it right the first time...5 Stars!!
