"The contractor Johnny was willing to discuss the project and products with me in detail. He was punctual and committed to getting my deck cleaned and stained even though the weather was not cooperative. Our deck looks really nice!"

"Michael called the day before to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. He replaced the dryer lint venting assembly, repaired an outside faucet, cleaned the gutters and cleaned a skylight. A pleasant and professional young man. His work was very reasonably priced."

"I hired Jack and crew to replace a portion of my deck. For a nominal fee, Jack came out, evaluated my deck and gave me an estimate. The nominal fee went toward the estimate, which I thought was fair and reasonable. The cost I felt was fair, not cheap, but not expensive. Jack is very attentive to details, communicative, and was happy to explain what they were doing during the process. The craftsmanship was top-notch. Not only do I strongly recommend Jack and crew for your decking needs, but have hired him to clean and treat my decks this coming fall."

"Zach's crew was excellent, very professional, worked long hours to get this big job done.  We have an old, 3 story house with box gutters that were rotting when we arrived her 16 years ago.  They were covered and "fixed" when we first moved in but were now leaking in multiple places.  Always Perfect removed them from the 2nd and 3rd floor and replaced them with hanging gutters.  I asked Zach about how to keep them clean and we decided to put the Gutter Fillers in - to keep debris out.  We also needed to fix the porch roof as it was dripping onto our front steps.  Zach initially quoted a price for rebuilding the whole roof but it ended up not being necessary so the whole job came in under the estimated cost! (How often does THAT happen?!)
What I liked about the crew was that they were quiet, worked hard, didn't yell or blast a radio and cleaned up everything very well.  The back of the house was difficult to reach because of our back porch tin room so Zach ordered special equipment to build scaffolding in order to reach it.  It took an extra week for the equipment to arrive but this didn't matter and the job was still completed in a very timely manner.
Everything went really well and Zach was easy to reach by phone or email.  I highly recommend him and his firm.

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

For the best results, stay off of your deck for at least 48 hours after sealing it. Giving the sealant at least two full days to cure ensures it can fully penetrate the wood, giving you the most protection from sun and weather damage later on. Walking on the deck too soon can prevent it from properly curing and cause your deck to weather prematurely.

It's okay to walk on a newly painted deck after about four to six hours as long as the weather has been dry. Be sure to wait at least 24 hours before you place any outdoor furniture or grills on a freshly painted deck, though.

Both aluminum and composite decking materials are environmentally friendly, with aluminum decking coming in as the most eco-friendly option.

Though composite decking helps remove plastics from landfills, recycles wood, and lasts longer than traditional wood decks, it’s not recyclable and only lasts for 25 to 30 years on average. Aluminum can last well over 30 years and is almost always recyclable.

There are ways to clean your deck to help maintain a clean appearance. You can easily remove surface-level dirt and grime by wetting your deck with a hose and doing a quick scrub with store-bought deck cleaner monthly.

However, investing in professional deck cleaning services near you at least twice a year is worth it. This service saves you time and ensures that your deck will avoid accidentally becoming scratched by blasting the pressure washer at the wrong angle.

It is possible to build your own deck, but it’s typically better to leave the work to a decking professional. Decks can be exceptionally complicated, especially if you want a wrap-around or second-story deck, and you don’t want to risk making an expensive or dangerous mistake. It’s usually better to hire a decking pro who can pull permits and build a structurally sound deck that will last for decades and provide the maximum return on investment.
