Anthony and his team were wonderful to work with. They communicated every step of the way and helped make my vision come to life. Our kitchen was tiny but Anthony's remodel helped to make it feel more spacious than we thought it could ever be. He was always willing to listen to our ideas and work with us to make sure we ended up with a product we would be happy about for a long time.

I connected with Anthony after a previous contractor ripped me off and left my unfinished renovation in shambles. I was a handful, being so guarded to avoid getting ripped off again, but Anthony did exactly what he said he would do - he delivered a finished renovation, communicated clearly and frequently from start to finish, and helped solve problems that had been worrying me. On top of that, his electrician was hands down the best electrician I've worked with. What really stood out was simple - Anthony has a good heart and takes pride in the experience of his clients. Anthony and his highly skilled team transformed my 1955 outdated kitchen to a beautiful and functional workspace, a pleasure to be in. From the original design and planning until completion, they were helpful, knowledgeable and very professional, expertly dealt with unexpected problems that arose and were able to complete additional requested work I added. They showed up daily and on time and we stuck to my original budget. They completely gutted, did new walls, flooring, electrical, back splash, painted, installed cabinets and new appliances. I would definitely hire Anthony & his team for future projects, they did such a great job on my kitchen, I can't be more pleased.

I hired McCann Home Improvements to build a deck behind my house and they were excellent: professional, easy to work with, and delivered exactly what I wanted. Most helpful for me was they took the time to align with me on the design, cost expectations, and timelines. Everything came out exactly as planned and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Our new front entrance steps and deck are fabulous! I’m so happy that I saw Anthony McCann’s truck while they were building entrance steps at another property in the neighborhood. Anthony and his team (Dino and Johnny) are expertly skilled as well as punctual, hard-working, and gracious. If I could give Anthony more than 5 stars I would. This is the 3rd job I have had done by Anthony and his crew and the work was outstanding. I wasn't completely satisfied with a part of the job at first. Anthony and his crew took my concerns seriously, came back on a Saturday, worked all day, and followed through completely. These days that kind of commitment is rare. He stands by his work. Honest, hard-working, local business. Look no further if you want the job done right.

If you are looking to remodel, Anthony McCann is your man. When Anthony came to give us our estimate, he was prompt and courteous. He listened to our expectations and offered suggestions without being pushy. He gave us a quote and told us that was the final price even if he ran into unexpected problems. He also offered a flexible payment plan. Dino and John, the craftsmen, were prompt, respectful and neat. They were so quiet, the only reason we knew they were here was hearing their tools. They worked on our project all day, every day until completion. Their workmanship was impeccable and they did a great job at cleaning up at he end. We have been enjoying our remodeled family room for about two weeks and haven't found a flaw yet! While McCann Home Improvements was a little more expensive, it was well worth the extra money for the dependability and quality craftsmanship. Don't hesitate to give Anthony McCann a call for your next remodel job.

The project went well. They restored our basement ceiling making it look as good as new.

The porch demolition and rebuild took two and one-half days. I am very pleased with the results and all the comments I have received from friends and neighbors have been positive( including one from a neighbor who is a professional contractor). Tony's crew worked from shortly after sun up to sundown in 90 degree weather. A different neighbor who observed the men working praised the effort the crew put forth. I plan on using McCann's next summer for more work. P.S. Sorry for the delay in the review.

Flawlessly.( Anthony) McCann is very precise, and has an amazing work ethic. He notices every small detail. He & his crew did all the work in a short time in spite of our rainy weather. He even worked around a neighbor's tree trunk. They cleaned up & removed all the old decking etc. I gave him all "A"s, because there wasn't a higher score. The job is fabulous. If you live in Shadyside, stop by & see for yourself.

It took a little while to get the project started, but Anthony was always approachable and answered when I called for updates. As you can see from his reviews he genuinely care that his customers are happy. My wife and I are happy with our new kitchen and would use Anthony again in the future. Just look at the before and after pics.

I'm really impressed that Mr McCann listened to my concerns and to what I had in mind, especially for the back steps. I knew it was not going to be easy to create new, safer steps there, but he and his crew did it. I hope he took before and after photos of those back steps (I did), because the results were truly impressive! They were punctual, they spent their time working on the project and not on their phones, and they cleaned up after themselves (including my leftover mess from another recent project). I'm also impressed that Mr McCann didn't think my project was too small to bother with - which several other people I reached out to made clear. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, A+++, 10/10 would use again.

I met with Anthony McCann to discuss having a raised deck with ascending stairs to ground level built. Anthony took the time to discuss my options, went over pricing, was very personable, and show great enthusiasm for the opportunity to do my project. He was punctual, courteous. professional, and was confident in his abilities. The deck and stairs are solid. See attached pictures. I had to replace a 2nd story deck in order for the bank to appraise our home enough for sale. McCann was amazingly responsive, and was able to work with me to get the project done in the very short amount of time I had. The deck is beautifully constructed, the attention to detail is fantastic. Went above and beyond to make it a beautifully crafted deck. I highly recommend using McCann Home Improvement, I had a great experience.

This is the third project this company did for me and every time, they do better and better. The employees are very courteous,hard workers and only care about pleasing the costumer. They work efficiently and fast and leave everything clean at the end of the day. They would even do extras without being ask. I think this company should be mention in your magazine as one of the best. Anthony, the boss, is very caring and explains everything before the work is done. He also works very hard and he and his employees love what they do so they always strive for perfection. I love my kitchen, is beautiful.

An unfinished basement was transformed into a beautiful apartment. Anthony and his crew, Dino, Billy, Dan, did exemplary work creating a kitchen, bathroom, living area, crafting area and office in the space provided. Craftsmanship is superb, they followed my wishes, were punctual, and so pleasant to be around. A custom craft station/bookshelves, tiling in bath and kitchen, hardwood floors, custom kitchen cabinets, wood worked ceiling, insulated drywall, new steps were done. I just provided the floor plan and dimensions and decided which products I wanted to use. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend this company.

McCann Home Improvements just completed a large, multi-part project for us: a complete overhaul of an unfinished basement, which involved creating a laundry room, tv/stereo area, and a powder room. The second part of the project was a ‘down to the studs’ remake of a full bathroom. We are absolutely thrilled at the quality of the work, as well as the aesthetics. The basement itself was a disaster— cinder block walls, crumbling old floor tiles, old pipes criss-crossing the ceiling, etc. The ceiling is now properly finished, pipes fully boxed in, with clean lines and open spaces. This was no mere ‘drop-ceiling’ job, but one that required imagination and a host of technical workarounds. The upstairs bath now has a marble lined shower-stall, beautiful porcelain tile on floor and walls, and what was once a tiny space somehow magically appears open, beautiful and luxurious. Anthony McCann, the owner and manager, oversaw all of the project, down to the smallest of details. He was quickly able to put together a plan for us, at a more than reasonable cost. And he delivered on every commitment made, with everything spelled out in a contract to forestall any possible misunderstandings. Anthony himself is extremely affable, committed to doing high-quality work, and a genuine mensch. His crew are likewise easy to get along with, hard-working, respectful of our space and time, and like Anthony, always strove to complete the highest quality work. We are extremely happy with all of the work done for us, would highly recommend McCann to anyone seeking large or small projects, and look forward to working with them again in the future. Anthony McCann was a great professional to work with. Not everyone has the problem solving skills to work on older houses (ours was built in 1925 according to the deed), but Anthony does. He managed to solve problems like an inconsistent ceiling height, walls that weren't very straight, odd pipes left in the walls, studs that were in inconvenient places for our new stainless steel vent hood, etc. We chose to add some additions on to our project (upgrading the electrical panel and redoing a wall) which were added to the price of our project, but Anthony did not ask us for more money when our project ran into unexpected issues (which owners of older homes is the norm for home improvement projects). He and his colleagues were always professional, on time, and hard working. Our new kitchen turned out great! The subway tile backsplash with art glass accent behind the stove is particularly attractive. Anthony was able to translate our ideas into reality by working with the timelines of other professionals (we had sheet vinyl flooring and engineered quartz countertops installed by other specialty vendors) and proactively planning when things would be done. Anthony and his colleagues handled gutting the old kitchen (including removal of debris), rewiring the kitchen (including upgrading the electrical panel and necessary Allegheny county inspections), designing and installing lighting (can ceiling task lights, ambient lights, under cabinet LED lighting) with our input, insulating and drywalling new walls, building custom cabinetry pieces (breakfast bar and oven cabinet) to fit with our purchased Kraftmaid cabinets), installing cabinets and custom pieces including beautiful trim work, installing an island mount vent hood (needed its own dedicated electrical circuit and exterior venting), installing new appliances, and painting/finishing. Anthony by far is an "A" contractor! I'd give Anythony a B in some of the detail quality, but to be fair, I am super picky with small details probably others would never notice--there are a few dry wall screws that's weren't completely mudded over painting beside the sliding glass door trim (really hard to notice since they are almost covered by the trim) and a few small finishing nail holes on the cabinet end panels that needed a little woodfiller and furniture pen to make them invisible. In fact as I am writing this they seem so minor, maybe I should go change that rating to an A. I couldn't be happier with the results of our new kitchen and whole-heartedly recommend Anthony McCann especially for projects that are complicated and need someone with the skills to solve problems.

Anthony and his team were very professional and hardworking. They showed up on time every day until the job was finished. He was very open and honest along the way if any surprised came up. I felt very comfortable having them in my home with my three young children and my dog. The house looks beautiful. Anthony was able to meet our requested deadlines to get the home ready for the holidays. It was so wonderful having house guests and celebrating in our brand new, gorgeous kitchen and freshly painted house. We are very grateful that we used McCann Home Improvements and, in fact, have him scheduled to do another project starting this month.

Anthony and his team did a fantastic job! We were nervous about how a shower would work in our small bathroom with a sloped ceiling, but Anthony worked closely with us and built a beautiful shower in the space. He made sure we were happy with the work every step of the way, and went over his plans several times with my husband to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. The closets were also custom- he made sure they were functional in a small, odd shaped space, and again worked closely with us to be sure we were happy with everything. Anthony always called or texted us to let us know when he was coming or update us on the progress, which I appreciated. We will definitely call Anthony again for any future renovations we need.
