Customers say: Quick response

"Aaron and his crew did a great job. Extremely pleased with the quality of their work. Had 12 pine trees taken down. Had Aaron spread top soil and seed. So far a week and 1/2 later we have grass. I would not hesitate to recommend Aaron for your next landscaping project. Pictures to follow"

Small jobs welcome

"Jordan and his team performed excellent work removing overgrown trees from my property at a reasonable rate. He came out on Wednesday for an estimate by Friday, the job was completed. I was impressed that I asked him for an additional quote for more work. I would recommend Wild Millerâ s Tree Service as a quality company that can perform an efficient job promptly."

"I hired John and I cannot recommend him enough! Great estimate, timely, and did above and beyond what was expected. His team was respectful a d his price was very fair. I recommend him to anyone to has a tree or exterior lawn job. John removed a substantial Large Maple tree that was covering half of my homes roof, and ground the stump. He took out 2 overgrown 20â arborvitaes, 2 large pine trees and 30-40 year old shrubs. I was very impressed with the results, thank you John."

"Mr. Beck was very friendly and offered a flexible schedule. He drove over an hour to my home for the service and was very reasonably priced. He installed the sump pump in less than 2 hours and his work was very neat. He even offered me landscaping advice, which was greatly appreciated! I would definitely recommend his services. Thanks, Bill!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

Any tree that needs to be pruned should be pruned to remove dead branches at least once a year. You may need to prune far more often if you’re trying to maintain a certain shape or to save a tree that suddenly becomes infected.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

If a disease has attacked and destroyed the roots, then the tree may fall over as soon as it has died or while part of it is still alive. Trees that die with their roots left in place tend to stay standing for much longer, but those roots will decay eventually, allowing gravity to do the rest.

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.
