"Very well. Baker tree gave me a competitive quote and addressed the problem intelligently. My large maple tree was trimmed to keep it balanced and erect and removed large branches that were the main problem. The crew arrived on time in the morning and finished around noon. the crew also trimmed three other trees and removed a very large photinia bush (about 30 feet high) and removed the stump from the photinia bush."

"Me and my neighbor hire first choice tree service LLC to remove two large trees one on my property and the other one on his property, they were very nice, very well equipped, and trained. We were so satisfied with their service that we both as customers gave above their estimate price for their service, I definitely recommend first choice tree service LLC to be your first choice!"

"We had several large trees on our property that were in a very difficult position with risk of damaging the house and other structures. Paul showed us exactly where he would lay the trees and executed as promised. Will definitely use again!"

"Excellent Work. First-Rate Guys on the team. Very careful not to harm the yard. I had no experience with tree work, so was a little surprised by how expensive it can be. Their proposal was fairly priced. I could have paid more (and can't imagine getting better results)...and I could have paid less (but can't imagine I'd have gotten 5 star work like they did). Highly Recommend."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. These scars will often show vulnerable living wood inside the tree. It’s also common to see scorched or wilted leaves on the side or top of the tree where lightning struck.

The fastest ways to remove a tree stump are by grinding it or burning it.

Stump grinding is often the quickest method, with professionals able to chip away a stump and its roots within a single session. You have the option to hire a professional stump removal service or rent a stump grinder to do it yourself. However, it's important to note that these machines can be large, difficult to transport, and dangerous to operate without prior experience. For safety reasons, hiring a local arborist or landscape specialist is often recommended.

Burning is another fast option. Before you begin, check your local burn laws. The process involves drilling holes into the stump, filling them with vegetable oil, and waiting 24 to 48 hours. Afterward, you can add charcoal bricks to the surface and light the fire, which must be attended at all times.

For a more affordable but much slower alternative, you can use potassium nitrate pellets to accelerate the natural decomposition process. This method typically takes four to six months.

Steer clear of the area and contact your utility company immediately. It will have a website portal and/or a phone number to report downed trees and electrical issues. If the tree appears to be on public land, you may want to call your local government and report the issue there, too.

If you ever want to see the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need to prune your peach trees. Without pruning, the trees may not grow or bear fruit since the nutrients will be divided among too many offshoots to provide any with enough energy to produce the peaches. Plus, if parts of the peach tree become diseased or pest-ridden, pruning can nip those problems in the bud.

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.
