"I did a search for a group of trash trees to be removed. Kevin came out the day after he contacted me. Gave me a great quote. A bunch of weed trees growing among a load of vines. I said I want it all gone! They removed every tree, the vines, and cleaned up. I need to count, 10+, two days of work very reasonable. Then I mentioned the dead boats and cars......gone! I am thrilled with their professionalism, care, making sure all i asked for was taken care of. You won't be disappointed using this company."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

There are a few general rules to follow that will help you prune your trees correctly. One of the most important rules is to prune during the correct season for the type of tree you have. Typically, pruning should be during late winter. For younger trees, you should not remove more than a ⅓ of the tree's crown when pruning. Also, remember to remove dead and diseased branches first, then proceed with pruning the rest of the tree.

It depends on the type of tree. Typically, late spring on the cusp of winter is ideal for trees about to emerge from dormancy and produce new buds. That said, late fall is ideal for certain deciduous trees prone to bleeding sap. Avoid trimming trees in early spring, when they’re prone to disease.

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

A grafted tree is a tree grown by combining two trees. It takes expertise. Branches from grafted trees don’t grow strong roots. Save yourself the time and frustration by having an arborist help you with this advanced project.

You can often tell if a tree is grafted because it will have a noticeable line. Above the line, the bark will look different than it does below the line. It’s most common with fruit trees.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.
