"East Coast comfort did the most horrible thing to us, and they have treated us with utter contempt. We have been with East Coast Comfort since they began when Ed McCollum and Anthony Mongeluzi started the company in 2006. Both Ed and Anthony were to our home in the early years of their business, performing maintenance and repairs, and one of them was here when they installed our current unit. We gave them a favorable review on Angie’s List, and we have never had any complaints about them in almost 20 years, until Lisa Hawthorne. We schedule routing maintenance, so we do not have equipment failures and outages. We have repeatedly been asked by Ms. Hawthorne of East Coast Comfort to reschedule our maintenance appointments, and we have always acquiesced. This occurred again a few weeks ago, and we rescheduled for last week. Ms. Hawthorne again called the day before our scheduled maintenance appointment last week, asked again to change the appointment because of the volume of emergency calls they were receiving, and we agreed as long as Ms. Hawthorne promised we would be given priority scheduling if our system went down. The next day, our air conditioning failed, and I contacted Ms. Hawthorne. A technician came to our home on the afternoon of the next day, but he said parts had to be ordered, and it could be days before they would arrive. I have emails supporting that we requested Ms. Hawthorne to order the needed parts, and she emailed back that the parts would be $1500.00 and labor $500.00. Though we made it clear from our emails that we wanted to get the system repaired as quickly as possible, she did not order the parts and would not grant us priority scheduling. When we learned of this betrayal, we contacted William Henderson Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical Services. They worked us into their schedule for same-day service. I have an email exchange that proves how disdainful Ms. Hawthorne was to longtime customers of East Coast Comfort, both of us senior citizens, and one with a cardiac condition. A request we made to Ms. Hawthorne to speak with Mr. McCollum or Mr. Mongeluzi was ignored. In other words, other people had their systems repaired because of our kindness, so we can swelter in the heat and humidity. I consider their behavior toward us to be elder abuse. Good riddance East Coast Comfort, we are now receiving our comfort from William Henderson."

Long Distance Moving & Storage. Household, Commercial, International, Corporate services available. Our Mission is To exceed expectations on every move. We live this day in and day out. Our service is top notch and fully efficient. Our trucks are perfectly equipped for moving with Pads, dollies, Plastic and much more. We provide Long Distance Moves across the entire country, directly from our West Coast HUBS located in AZ, CA, OR and WA. Or, we team with our partner companies to complete moves together. We are proud to provide a service that no other company offers; Dedicated Trucks. This means that your belongings are loaded on the truck and not combined with anyone else’s items (from/to west coast only). They are not transferred to other trucks or facilities in route which causes damage and loss of items (typical with van lines). We have a set loading day and unloading day. This is by far the safest way to ship. Our interstate rates are per 24ft moving van that holds up to 8,500lbs or 1400CuFt. Some customers require one truck and some require more. One truck holds the average 1800SqFt.

From a new dug out cement floor to sheet rocked and painted walls, enclosed closets, open shelving to new vinyl flooring and a separate utility room our basement was transformed! I still get tears in my eyes as I walk down the basement stairs!! *Excellent quality of work by seasoned craftsmen!! Mr. Contractor has their own permanent crew of workers that have 15-20 years’ experience working with the family-owned business established in 1949. I was very impressed with their apprentice/mentoring approach to developing their team of craftsmen someone with less experience worked closely with an experienced craftsman. *The work was reasonably priced and negotiated. All materials were included in the price *Workspace was always clean and orderly!! Having had a couple of renovations done before, I’ve heard contractors say they clean-up at the end of the day, but nothing compares with Mr. Contractors team who not only thoroughly clean the workspace, but also organize their tools and materials for the next day!! They also removed any debris and trash daily. *I cannot emphasize enough how smoothly our project was managed, the quality of work by Mr. Contractors team of crafts people, and the attention placed on listening to our needs, concerns, and feedback as clients."

"Frank and his crew (Brian and Gary) were absolutely fantastic. They took out a coat closet in our entryway and built a vestibule (installing tiles, wainscoting, doors, etc.), which turned out stunning. They also installed crown moulding, took out a closet and refinished the wall, took out carpet on stairs and in the office and replaced it with wood-flooring (or refinished the wood-flooring underneath), installed a dog door and two chandeliers, remodeled a fireplace (installing tiles around it and at the hearth + building a mantle). We were extremely happy with the result! Frank and his crew are professional, easy to communicate with, and meticulous. They moved our furniture around with great care and cleaned the house after the work was finished. We will definitely hire them again in the future!"

Condensation forms when warmer, outside air combines with cooler air in your ductwork. This can happen when there are leaks in your air ducts, your HVAC system has a dirty air filter, or there’s a lack of insulation around the ducts. To prevent it from happening, replace your HVAC filters as directed. Also, once every five years, hire a local air duct cleaner to clean and inspect them.

There are several tell-tale signs that your AC coils need cleaning, including:

  • You’re getting higher electricity bills.

  • Your home doesn’t feel as cool as it usually does.

  • Your AC unit is running longer than usual to cool your home.

  • Your home is more humid than usual.

  • The coil is covered in frost while running.

When your AC contactor goes bad, you might hear chattering or buzzing noises coming from your air conditioner. You may also notice that your AC is running but isn’t cooling your home.
