"I cannot recommend barrier spray foam enough. We had been looking for a company that I felt comfortable doing our spray foam insulation in the completely un-insulated attic space for a few weeks before I found Robert Keeney from barrier spray foam and I am extremely glad that I was able to find them because I could not be more pleased with the service and the quality of the work that they produced. Robert was incredibly efficient, showed up exactly when he said he would to do a free estimate, he was very good at explaining the R values and the percentage that they would actually insulate the space and what his recommendations are and for that I am extremely grateful. The other companies that we had to quote did not go into this level of detail! Barrier spray foam helped me to feel very comfortable that they were doing everything they could to make sure that the work that was done was what the space needed, and the quality was top notch. We received their very reasonable quote exactly when he told me I would, and not once did I feel that communication was lacking. "Three years ago, Matt installed a concrete patio between my pool and my house. I made a point of expressing my concerns on settling because of the extensive amount of ground that had been moved. This spring one of the slabs has sunk about half an inch, another has cracked. I have emailed Matt twice asking what we could do to correct the issue since concrete should last more than 3 years. I have received no response. Very disappointed. I'm hoping he contracts me to try to work this out."

Concrete dries faster in the heat than in the cold, but when concrete cures too fast, it can cause weak concrete. However, concrete patios that need to support very heavy items, like a hot tub or outdoor kitchen, should be around 6 inches thick to support the full weight of these items. You'll also want to make sure you install rebar for patios that need to support a lot of weight like this.

If it's well maintained, a polished concrete floor can add value to your home. Concrete is a low-maintenance and durable material that can appeal to homebuyers, especially if they prefer industrial and modern designs. Naturally, higher quality floors will add more value. 

Epoxy and polyurethane sealers can last five to 10 years, while acrylic sealers last two to three years or more depending on the use, wear of the surface, and type of sealer you choose. Areas that see heavy traffic or extreme ice and snow may require more frequent sealing. Test your concrete every two years to gauge how it responds to absorbing water or if it fully repels it for longer than 20 seconds.
