We offered to work with them to correct the mistake by waiting until the fall to do the aeration and re-seeding. Instead, they quit and walked away, leaving us with a lawn more damaged than when we started. This company should be avoided at all costs!"

No, wasps only attack when they feel threatened. A sting may seem unprovoked to us, but we likely got too close to a nest. Threatened wasps do, however, send out a strong pheromone that instantly attracts any other wasps in the area. 

The best way to get rid of fruit flies usually involves a cleaning and checking to make sure food sources are sealed away. However, if you have a major infestation, you can try making a fruit fly trap, or calling a bug control service near you, to address the problem.

If the nest is on or in your home, you should have an exterminator remove it. However, if the wasp nest is in an area of your yard that you don't frequent, you can leave it alone as long as the wasps don’t bother your household members. Wasps are very active during the summer months, but they will vacate in the fall and not return until the following year. So, if it's safe to do so, you can leave it, but if it poses a threat of being stung because it's in an area that you use frequently, consider having it removed.

Moles make mounds that look like tiny volcanoes, and they are sometimes obscure. They're stealthy creatures that feast on insects. Gophers, on the other hand, create half-moon mounds while digging deeper tunnels. These critters chew on roots and plants, so it is often easier to spot the damage created. Also, moles are usually smaller, with velvety fur, tiny eyes, and shovel-like hands for digging. Gophers are larger rodents with prominent front teeth and external cheek pouches for carrying food. Paper wasps are also attracted to warm, sheltered spaces, where they can build nests and raise larva in protected areas away from predators. They may also be attracted to untreated wood on your deck or fence, as they use wood pulp to build nests.
