Everything went perfectly. The work was completed on time, Don and his assistant were friendly and professional, Don kept me informed about the status of the project every step of the way, and the quality of work and finished product were outstanding. I would definitely use Express Concrete again for other projects, and I highly recommend them.

After soliciting quotes for our patio project, he was one of two who responded. Don provided a reasonable estimate, accommodating timeline, and descriptions of other projects. The quality of work was exceptional. Because of his professionalism and no-nonsense approach, we hope to hire him again for a spring project. Highly recommended!!

Had some much needed concrete work done around my house. Have new walkway from driveway to front door (maybe I will use the front door now), new apron at end of driveway (no longer need to 4 wheel up and over into driveway and I have a beautiful newly poured patio (no more backwash to the house or picture puzzle). Express Concrete, Don, poured a new two level 35 x 17 back patio along with a walkway around the side of the house. Our experience with Don was exceptional and the end result fantastic. Don was able to take what we wanted and complete it in a way better than we could have imagined. He was competitively priced with the quality of materials and craftsmanship he provided. Once he started work, he continued every day until completed. He was also extremely communicative; he provided a daily recap, walking us through what was completed and the next steps. We always felt in the know and what to expect After the job was complete, he continued to follow up to make sure everything was curing correctly and to see if we had any follow up questions. We highly recommend Don, he has exceptional skill and is fantastic to work with.

Horrible craftsmanship!!!!! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. NO PRIDE AND CERTAINLY NO INTEGRITY IN THE WORKMANSHIP THEY PERFORM. Had Express Concrete put in a patio say 15 x 15. After the first rainfall I notice puddling, so called up the owner to come out. He did. As it happened, it rained during the day and yup, you guessed it. I had puddling. I explained to the owner guy it is obvious the entire patio was not pitched correctly. As I was explaining the patio not being pitched correctly, he was standing in the middle of the patio within the puddle of water say 1 inch high. I AM WRITING THIS CAUSE, I AM TALKING MUST BE 5 YEARS AGO EXPRESS CONCRETE CAME OUT TO INSTALL THE PATIO. I AM CONSTANTLY REMINDED WITH EVERY RAINFALL, I HAVE TO GET A BLOWER TO BLOW ALL THE PUDDLING RAIN OFF THE PATIO. EXPRESS CONCRETE HAS MADE COMING OUT TO ENJOY OUR UNPROFESSIONALLY LAID PATIO WELL JUST NOT THAT ENJOYABLE. IN A NUTSHELL, EXPRESS CONCRETE DID AN ABSOLUTELY AN HORRIBLE JOB. NEVER ONCE OFFERED TO CORRECT POOR WORKMANSHIP. NOT ONCE. I JUST HAVE TO LAUGH AS HE SAID HE PITCHED IT CORRECTLY AND WAS STANDING IN A PUDDLE MAKING THAT STATEMENT. EXPRESS CONCRETE HAVE ZERO WORK INTEGRITY AND WOULD NEVER BACK THE WORKMANSHIP THEY DO. If you want to enjoy your patio, do not hire this company. They do not back up the they perform. Think twice.

Don with Express Concrete did an incredible job building our concrete patio. It is evident from the results of the patio that Don is an absolute perfectionist. His work was pristine, but just as importantly, his professionalism was outstanding. He communicated with us regularly on the process and kept us apprised of his work and of the details as the project progressed. We are so happy and pleased with the results and couldn't have expected a more beautiful turnout.

Great! Don was great to work with. He fully understood what we wanted to accomplish and clearly explained each step. We booked the work last fall for May of this year. Rainy weather caused some delays but Don was on top of it.

Don was EXCELLENT to work with from day one. He was responsive and promised an estimate in the spring, because of being booked the previous fall. He came out two days after our initial conversation and got back to me a few hours later with the price. It was the best of all quotes received. We booked the work for a month later, sent the deposit, and waited for our new project to begin. Don communicated with us a week before the start date, and was here on time both days. The work area was left spotless and he followed up with pictures to make sure that we were more than satisfied. I would highly recommend him and would use him again for another project. We had a wonderful experience with Express Concrete.

Great experience from A to Z. Very professional crew, excellent quality, great looking finished product. These guys are very busy so it took a little while to get on the schedule... but, it was very much worth the wait.

If there’s such a thing as a concrete master, it’s Don. If you can get him, get him... While other assembly line contractors are out doing there thing, express was meticulous and thorough. I actually think he was more concerned about the fine details than I was. And I’m pretty picky. He also managed a difficult stretch of rain and didn’t take any chances. He communicated clearly and consistently throughout that stretch. I would highly recommend express to anyone and I’m available for a reference. (I don’t endorse just anyone).

The result is wonderful, genuine craftsmanship. As is true in all Express Concrete projects, Don was actively involved in all phases. He was assisted by Eric, a partnership of over 20 years. There were many small extras that added to the quality of the work, none of which was apparent from the detailed professional proposal. Don kept me updated as to when different phases of the project were to be accomplished, and he always kept his word. The concrete truck stayed in the road; it did not enter our driveway. Instead, the concrete for the stoop and associated sidewalk was carried by wheelbarrow to the site, also avoiding the driveway, all of this intended to avoid driveway damage. Several inches on each side of the walk had to be excavated in order to make room for the forms. After the concrete was poured and hardened the forms were removed, the missing soil was replaced, graded and smoothed. A leaf blower was used to clear the walks and stoop from any remaining dirt. Any form related small driveway gaps were filled in with high quality asphalt patch that was indistinguishable from that performed by asphalt contractors. Finally, these are nice guys. They were fun to talk to. (Ask them if they like to fish.) They are 100% trustworthy. We gave them the code to our garage door opener, which they were welcome to use whether we were home or away on errands. We highly recommend Express Concrete.

Don was great to work with. We were in consistent communication (Angie's communication, IM and mobile phone) during the early stages of the project thru the completion. Don did a great job of framing to sidewalk so that finished concrete matched both the bottom of the existing cast concrete steps/stoop and the driveway... Which were on different levels and not co-planer.

We found Don on Angie's list. We wanted a stamped concrete patio for under our deck. We were not familiar with stamped concrete. He came out to give us an estimate immediately. He explained the process, took measurements and gave us ideas. His estimate was better than the other two estimates I received. Don kept us informed of his schedule (due to rain) and was here when he said he would be. He was a very hard worker and arrived early every morning. He did not rush the job. We went on vacation during some of the time he was working and he sent us photos and kept us informed. We are very happy with our new patio. It looks great! I would highly recommend Don to anyone looking for concrete work.

Me and my wife were very happy with the results and with Express Concrete. Don (the owner) took the time to answer all our questions, and he was very professional. Also he showed up on time and was there went he said he would be. Our old driveway and sidewalk had excessive cracking, sections were tilting sideways, and there was even had one section that had sunk down about 2 inches. Don explained that our old driveway, which was built in the 70's, was having problems because it was poured directly on top of dirt. He explained that concrete should be poured on gravel to prevent cracking and tilting, and allow for proper drainage. Once our old driveway was removed and hauled away, Don took out about 4-5 inches of dirt everywhere, poured in at least 4 inches of gravel, then compacted it, before pouring in the new concrete. This was to help with drainage and prevent future cracking and tilting. I appreciate that Don did the job right to ensure long-term quality and durability. I also like that he uses 4000 psi concrete rather than the basic 3000 psi, which gives it more strength. The finished product looks amazing, and we had no complaints. Don and the rest of the express concrete crew were patient and troweled out the new concrete to look very smooth and nice. All the lines were straight and the driveway and sidewalks matched up perfectly everywhere. One thing to keep in mind about Express Concrete is that they are a small company. For most of the job, it is usually just Don and a couple other guys working at a time. For our project, I estimate it took a little over a week, maybe a week and half, partially due to the rainy weather. Thus, if you book them, plan to book your project at least a couple months in advance.

Everything went smoothly, and the work was completed as anticipated at a competitive price. Don not only completed the work as planned, but he completed the work when he said he would.

I am EXTREMELY pleased with the concrete. Only three panels of the patio had to be replaced and a step out of the house onto the patio. Don had to retrofit the replaced panels with the rest of the existing patio. The step and panel had dropped and the drain between was going to have to be replaced. Don was meticulous in forming the step and patio panels. The old concrete had been done in a manner that he would not have used. He laid out the forms to mimic a similar configuration and wasn't pleased with it. He came back and redid the forms to bring the concrete up to his standards. It is perfect. He abutted the step seamlessly to the existing stone on the house. The 14 year old drain that took the water off of the patio to the lawn was no longer available and he did a great job retrofitting a new drain with the former drain that is still in the panels that didn't need to be replaced. Don had a partner on our job who specialized in the INCRETE products and he recommended using Spray-Deck. After the concrete had cured, Don and partner applied the Spray-Deck (I was not around so I'm not certain of the process). After the application, we noticed there were inconsistencies (streaks; mish mash of directional lines) in the "paint". First they attempted to put something on the deck to even it out. It minimized the inconsistencies only slightly. They came back and reapplied. The deck still had some, what appeared to be, roller lines in some areas. They decided that the summer heat/sun had been the problem with the paint application and Don came back and reapplied in September. The Spray-Deck looks great now. We are having an issue with pets and children slipping on the patio/pool deck. This is my only reason for giving my quality review a B!! I'm thinking the many layers of "paint" have filled in around the substance used to make it slip-resistant. In all fairness though, I have not contacted Express Concrete yet to discuss with him. (This has just recently occurred to me that it might be the cause or even that it can be corrected.) I'm sure he will help me come up with a solution to this slipperiness.

I'm usually very apprehensive in hiring someone to do work bc my husband does most of it (except concrete) and I was thrilled with the result of the work, price was best I found out of 4 quotes, the timeline was met exactly as Don had said and he always answered either my texts or calls. Beautifully! Don explained every step of the removal and replacement process and worked two-full days to get the job done. He answered all of our questions and took time to do a professional, top-notch job in a timely manner, explaining how he performed the job and the materials he used. The cost of the project was fair and reasonable, too. Express Concrete earns our highest recommendation and vote of confidence.

Patio looks great and so does the sidewalk. Received verbal estimate in the spring and Don completed the project in August. He was flexible in working around our schedule. The process took about 3 weeks to complete. Don explained everything he was doing and answered all our questions. Workmanship and attention to detail is excellent. Don had a good suggestion regarding how to improve the look of our awkward steps to house. We picked pattern and colors for patio from pictures which was a little difficult to do. We would recommend Express Concrete for any concrete project.

Very good. They were delayed a couple of weeks because of the very rainy Spring but they called and we had no problem with waiting until they got caught up and could work us into the schedule. We were more interested in getting the work done right than getting it done quickly. Once Don arrived on site he kept at it until done. I requested a change during the work. We quickly agreed on the cost and I think it made a big difference on the finished product for negilgible cost. We had gotten quotes from 3 other contractors and Express Concrete was was very comparable with the estimated cost and projected schedule. What tipped the balance in their favor was Don knew what he was talking about. To be fair, one of the others did too. But I know a bit about concrete work and 2 of those guys didn't have a clue. We have been very pleased with the finished work and have some aluminum railing on order which should really set it off.
