He actually explained that we could probably handle the repair ourselves if we were up for it, instead of paying him or someone else. He then walked us through every step in detail and made sure we were comfortable with the directions. So in the end, it cost us $0 in labor and only a small amount for materials, and really demonstrated AJ's integrity and generosity!"

"We hired Plymouth Meeting Nursery to completely transform the exterior landscape of our 100+ year-old home, where we live with our three young children and our ever-faithful golden retriever. As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. Plymouth Meeting Nursery delivered on all counts. The scope of work was extensive and included the demolition of all existing landscaping, a deck, concrete walkways, fencing, and excess soil. In its place, the team installed new fencing, a beautiful cedar pergola, repointed brickwork on our home, irrigation, a synthetic lawn alongside fresh sod and thoughtfully selected plantings, outdoor lighting, a stunning bluestone patio with brick steps and retaining wall, a brick and bluestone fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator. The project spanned nearly five months, during which a few scope changes arose. Each one was handled professionally and flexibly by John and his team. "They truly live by the code of "you get what you paid for". The price was cheaper than expected (and they included a free estimate too). So ultimately, our slow bathtub drain was cleared. However, the technician had terrible housekeeping. After stripping the caulking around the overflow valve, they left the caulking pieces in the bathtub and told us to flush them down the drain (?!). They said the provided bio solution would clear the pieces just fine...but why do that when a trash can is less than a foot away?? Then, they did not offer to reseal the valve they just opened...just left a mess for us to pick up. As such, we will not be using them again next time...free estimate or not. If we wanted the bare minimum, we would have done it ourselves."

"I wouldn’t be writing this Review if one thing would have happened, TALK TO ME. Don’t place the answering service in the position of telling a Customer that the Supervisor has left for the day at 2.45p on a Thursday. Especially when the Horizon repairman had just fried our whole cooling system, including the thermostat!! What started with a bad fan motor in a new AC system that was only 3.5 years old in a $10,000 system, for which we had waited 4 days for the new motor to be installed. Add to that the fact that the repairman told me he would be at our home at 8.30a and didn’t arrive until 11.30a - after having to use a vacation day to wait at home for them to arrive. Then telling me this will be ‘quick’ all I have to do is switch out the motor by mounting it and plugging in the new one. Hours went by, nothing. He comes in to test the thermostat and it is non-responsive. He tells me to get new batteries, which I did. Then asks me, “these are new?” To which I say, ‘of course’ - you watched me take them out of the box. Then he goes out to his truck for the next 1.5hrs, supposedly speaks with his Supervisor and comes in and tells me that he has fried the system. I reply by saying I will be calling a senior person to speak with them. Called 4 times and never spoke with anyone. Each time I waited on hold for an extended period of time. Each time, I was then told by the answering service that someone would call and never did. Then at 2.45p I am told “everyone has left for the day” and no one would be calling. This was a Thursday, I had been home all day and no one would speak with me. We remain without an AC system, no plan, no calls - - nothing!!! If I could rate them a ZERO, I would,"

"Jeff and his team did and excellent job with the installation of two Daikin HVAC units. I had many questions about the units and install and they were quick and thorough in responding. The price and warranty were competitive with high end brands. The crew was courteous and professional during the two day install. They were the only company that included replacement of the coolant lines, rather than just flushing the old ones. So far the Daikin variable speed AC units are exceptionally quiet and the house is very comfortable. Would recommend Ace Home Services and Unique Comfort without reservation."
