We do not have salesmen. A.J. is the gentleman that comes out to deliver each estimate and he is on each job. QUICK, FRIENDLY, and CHEAP!! First, AJ called me within 30 seconds of me texting him asking for an estimate. I sent him a photo of our water leak issue and he immediately responded. He actually explained that we could probably handle the repair ourselves if we were up for it, instead of paying him or someone else. He then walked us through every step in detail and made sure we were comfortable with the directions. So in the end, it cost us $0 in labor and only a small amount for materials, and really demonstrated AJ's integrity and generosity!

Did a video chat to assess the leak and get a professional opinion on my issue. AJ was great in identifying the problem and wasn't trying to oversell me. The leak was caused by once-in-a-year storm and advised that I could either spend thousands on a hard to identify leak source or try to mortar the outside wall myself. He spent a lot of time giving my advice and a materials list. I would highly recommend them and if my DIY fix doesn't work, they'll be the first people I call.

As first time home owner, it is tough finding service people who are reliable and trustworthy and who aren’t looking to just patch the problem. AJ did everything he could, short of coming to assess the problem in person (because of Covid), to address the issue I was having with water in the back of my house. He is very responsive and very knowledgeable! I walked him through the problem over facetime and afterwards he gave me a clear assessment of what exactly was happening (in a way I could understand) and instructions as to what to do to fix it. It ended up being a problem that had to be addressed by a roofer, but I wouldn’t know that without AJ. I definitely recommend AJ if you need a knowledgable and reliable home water expert! During this emergency time of covid-19, I had a need to find some water proofing company specialized in water proofing. After some search, I found AJ Service through internet, after reading through some customer testimonials, I contacted AJ directly at his phone to discuss my basement water leakage issue. I am really impressed by AJ expertise his willingness to help without any charge. During this emergency time, it was hard to have in person visit. He helped ume by just looking into video of the problem area and having a quick facetime. He was able to diagnose the possible issues and came up with the solution. Without even having in person visit. I would highly recommend AJ for any of your water proofing need. He is our got o person for any future basement water issues.

We recently had work done by AJ Waterproofing and cannot say enough about their work. From the minute they arrived, AJ was like a maestro conducting his very capable crew to establish a containment area to prevent dust and debri from permeating the rest of the house. Every effort was made to cover furniture, speakers and carpet with plastic. From there, it only got better. AJ and crew made short work of jack hammering the floor, tunneling under the existing paneled wall without disturbing the paneling and trim. This alone saved me a few thousand dollars on repair and replacement. His crew continuous swept and discarded debri to ensure a clean work area.. Without even asking, his guys installed the drains for our furnace condensation line, softener and dehumidifier within the french drain system. The coup de gras was a meticulous cleanup, which included wiping down the floor and walls, making it cleaner than when he started! I highly recommend AJ for all your waterproofing needs. A true pro.

We recently used AJ's Waterproofing Services to fix our water issues in our basement and we couldn't be happier with the job him and his team did. It was very apparent from our consultation with him that he is the ultimate professional. He spent over an hour and a half with us explaining the issues at hand in our basement and the different options we could go with to remedy the situation. It never once felt like he was out to oversell us or take advantage of us. We knew very quickly he was the man for our job. The day of the French drain install, he sent us multiple updates throughout the day. After they were done for the day, they thoroughly cleaned the area. There were no traces of dust and debris from where they dug up the concrete. We just had a major rain storm and we had no water in the basement. I would highly recommend AJ's Waterproofing for all of your water issue needs.

AJ texted me and suggested that I call him, "I could even sometimes help you on the phone." I called him and we spent a while on the phone going over the details of my problem. I described the crawlspace, and he asked how long I had lived in the home, when the problem started, and what had changed. After some discussion, he and I were both convinced that the problem was caused by humidity in the crawl space that was building up since the crawlspace was sealed a while back. AJ described a simple, inexpensive solution. Since I'm pretty handy I thought I could do it myself, and AJ checked out my plan and gave me some suggestions. Another service recommended an $8,000 solution, so I figure I'll try AJ's solution for $300 and a few hours of my time. I'm confident it will work. I asked AJ if I could give him a consulting fee, and he said, "just give me a good review on Angie's list." I was going to do that, anyway.

The crew was very friendly and professional. They tarped their walkway through the house and built a barrier in basement to contain all dust and debris and were very clean. I am very satisfied with the work they did and have had no problems since they were here with the multiple rain storms we have had. I would highly recommend to anyone with water problems in their basement.

The job/work couldn’t have went any better and smoother then it did, not to mention the cleanliness and customer service provided from beginning to end went above and beyond my expectations. Inside my basement they made sure objects and furniture were moved out of the way of the working area and covered for protection. They also made sure the walkways and paths used to remove debris out of the basement and new materiel into the basement were covered to prevent surfaces from getting dirty or damaged. Just overall a very thorough and diligent process from start to finish. I would highly recommended AJ Waterproofing and most certainly would rehire them for any future business if needed.

AJ and his team were great. Prompt, responsive, and highly professional. The job including demo of existing structures in a semi-finished basement, installation of French drain and sump pump, and cleaning and painting of walls. They completed the job on time; AJ was responsive to a minor issue the cropped up as a result of the demo; and they left our basement very clean. They went above and beyond. We have had multiple heavy rains since the work was done, and our basement has remained dry. No issues at all. We could not be more pleased with the result.

we had old drain system partially and working sum pump and old sum pump well that was just covered. instead of installing new French drain system entire basement, AJ recommended to install the area that did not have old drain system against the wall, which saved the money. Also, they fill the old sum pump well, add 2nd sum pump that new French drain is connected, added hole to drain water from humidifier. Also because they cleaned the molds and took away any thing in the basement had the mold. All this in one day. The basement hadn't had any water came in to the basement since then. We are very pleased with their work.

I own some homes in the area and I have dealt with many contractors including two big waterproofing companies. While those companies start high and explain all the things they do much better than others and you have to do ugly haggling to get to reasonable prices (only to deal with the attitude of working at those prices). Then there is the false promises of warranty only to be yelled at when you call. AJ and his wife promptly returned my call, looked over pics of my basement, told me different options of temporary fixes outside vs French drain system. Gave me a good price that I didn't feel the need to haggle too much. He explained all the work that he'll do. I asked few extra things including cleaning basement, carrying extra trash, building a barrier from sump and sewage area. I also asked him to fix cracks and leaks outside. He gave an estimate of 1 to 2 days. But his crew finished in 1 day, did fantasticcc job similar to those other companies, left the place neater than it was before and was very accommodative. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. God bless such contractors. No wonder he has done well with this business for decades.

AJ was very informative from start to finish. After a careful assessment, he clearly explained a solution to our water-intrusion problem. He even explained that we would NOT need to most-expensive type of wall parging. It was still a costly solution, but we have not had a problem since, despite heavy rains. The work was done with precision and care, and AJ provided pictures and updates throughout the project (which was great, since we were not yet moved into the house). He even fixed a mud-flowing problem area found after the initial assessment outside of our house for free! For the grand finale, he suggested a carpenter to finish the basement work. We ended up hiring based on this recommendation, and the finishing work was excellent and well-priced.

5 stars! From the initial visit and estimate, to the completed job, AJ Waterproofing was professional, friendly, and honest. I had to install a French drain in my crawl space, since the existing sump pump was in the center of the floor, on a sloped foundation. No water ever made it there. They also washed the walls for mold, sealed up vents, and installed a dehumidifier. When I needed an electrician to run a line for the dehumidifier, they recommended Mike, who was also amazing. While doing the work, they placed plastic on the floors and furniture, so no dust or dirt made it through the crawl space access while they were working. They even built a ladder to gain access to the crawl space, instead of having to bring one out and set up to get down there. Highly recommend!

AJ had come to our house a few years ago for the estimate on the crawlspace. We also had one other company out for an estimate at that time. After meeting AJ we knew we would hire him because he also walked around our yard with us to suggest improvements with yard grading and other suggestions to keep water out. He was also upfront about the cost and work to be done. He didn't try to sell us on any gimmicks or anything we didn't need. AJ stands behind his work and is very knowledgeable and experienced. We did not go ahead with the project after the original estimate because we decided to put that project on hold. We needed to attend to our leaky roof and other home projects. However, when it came time to get the work done we called AJ without hesitation. Everything went great. AJs workers sealed off the areas in our basement where they were working and when they were done everything was cleaned up as if they were never there! AJs team removed several inches of dirt, stones and debris from the crawlspace floor. A French drain with a sump pump was installed and the walls of crawlspace were done over with concrete of AJs particular waterproofing blend. Additionally, hangers were installed on a sewage pipe which ran though the crawlspace. This was done because the pipe was supported by concrete blocks which needed to be removed in order to install the french drain. Now the crawlspace is in absolutely wonderful condition and Ill have piece of mind every time it rains. I can highly recommend AJ waterproofing.

Anthony was great. Really professional, really neat and clean, had good suggestions for other improvements, and stayed late to get the job done in one day. We had a problem with the sump pump running the weekend after the job and not only did the office respond by calling me back after hours (I emailed them), but Anthony came to our home within the hour to fix the problem (it was a minor adjustment). This is the 2nd job Anthony has done for us and I recommend him highly.

Anthony came & evaluated our cracks & recommended sealing/covering them. He gave me fair price for doing the work. He also offered to treat the mold on the baseboards. He recommended a reasonably priced dehumidifier as a solution to our moisture issue. His team came on time & performed the work very efficiently. They were professional & courteous. They kept everything clean during their work & cleaned up everything when they were done. I'm very happy with the work that was done.

I finally decided to do something about the mold that has developed in our basement over the last five years. We got estimates from four different waterproofing contractors. All recommended a French drain/sump pump remedy. Then I remembered that my daughter had someone (AJ Waterproofing) install the same type of remedy to fix her basement water problem. They were very happy with the results-no water since! AJ showed up at 6:30 PM-he was accommodating my schedule. After reviewing my situation, he patiently explained why and how my cinder blocks became contaminated. He explain why his competitors recommended what they did. But since I have never had water in my basement, he recommended using mold remediation/ over-the-counter type of chemicals. I have never had a contractor in my 44 years of home ownership tell me straight out what was the obvious solution-which was so completely counter to what his competitors said. He wasn't going to just take my money. AJ is a straight shooter-someone very special who cares about people and doing the right thing. I offered him money to cover the hour he spent with me. He wouldn't accept it! Contact AJ before having any work done-you'll be glad you did!
