"We are extremely satisfied with the whole process of our house being insulated. First we had the walls done, and then a couple weeks later we had our attic insulated. The crew were so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are very satisfied with everything. Thank you, everyone."

"I'm a DIY guy in a 200 year old house. I investigated DIY spray foam to use in the basement on the underside of the first story floorboards. Then I had a vision of myself covered with foam and maybe finally getting the hang of spraying it correctly by the time the job was done. So I called in these guys. I could not be happier. They were friendly, courteous, efficient - true professionals. They did a great job and didn't leave a mess behind. The house is so much warmer! What a huge difference the spray foam insulation made. I've got another project coming up soon and I will call them again."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Exposed ductwork can sweat just like ductwork placed behind walls, sometimes even more so. Ductwork sweats—like a cold drink on a hot day—because of a temperature imbalance between the air in the duct and the air in the room. In a crawl space or wall, this temperature can equalize faster due to the small space but in lofts and open rooms, that wouldn’t happen as quickly. Many people insulate their ducts for this reason.

The most energy-efficient windows are double—or triple-pane windows with low-emissivity (Low-E) coatings and gas fills between the panes. These windows reduce heat transfer, prevent drafts, and help maintain a consistent indoor temperature. But if replacing windows isn’t in your budget, pairing your existing windows with insulating window treatments can still make a noticeable difference in home comfort and monthly bills.

Yes, brick houses are better insulated, because the bricks slow down the passage of air from the outside to the inside and vice-versa. This helps to stabilize the internal temperature of the home. When combined with proper residential insulation, brick houses are more efficient and better insulated than other types.

Yes, exposure to fiberglass insulation can cause harm to your skin and eyes. However, this typically refers to the fiberglass insulation that is mostly used in walls and attics. Fiberglass doors don’t pose risks for fiberglass exposure because they're fully encased in polymer cladding.

You can purchase bags of cellulose and loose-fill fiberglass blown-in insulation from the same local home improvement store where you rent your blower. If you want to use rock wool insulation, you may need to special order it.
