Overall this was a very good experience.  Was able to obtain an estimate and schedule an install on my first call.  Installer arrived right on time and quickly got to work.  He even added custom bracket to reduce the stress that a garage door opener puts on the door, at no cost.  Installer was very through in explaining details about the system and quick with clean up.

Installers arrived exactly when promised. They removed the old garage door and opener and hauled them away. The new door and opener were installed. New door fits perfectly and is insulated so I can tell it is slightly warmer in the garage. The new opener works great. The work only took an hour or two (I wasn't home but my wife said they were done quickly).

1. The garage door opener could be fixed with new electronics but would cost as much as new opener.  So I was going to buy 2 new ones.

When I went to see how things were going,

2. I found the old weather strips off and holes being drilled into the bottom sections of my garage doors for the new weather strips.  I was upset as this is not what I requested nor wanted. The installer was installing what she said was a U channel weather stripping because that is what her paperwork said.

She called the service manager Dave Harms, and he would not indicate he made a mistake but rather put the blame on me as saying that is what I requested.  I didn't even know there were different types of weather stripping let alone request a U Channel. I wanted what I had, it slides on the bottom for a clean and nice look vs screws and a black strip coming up 3 inches on the inside and outside of my doors. It now looks very bad and extremely old for a 10 year old but perfect looking home.

Anyway, the service manager Dave harms is extremely unprofessional and actually hung up on me when I would not agree with his statement of this is what I wanted. I was upset for his actions and unprofessional conduct.  He would never work for me with this attitude.

I have called the corporate office in Reading PA (610) 929-8631 and spoke to Terry since the owner Bill was not in.  She took the notes and said she would have the general manger David Stackhouse in the Folcroft PA facility where this was scheduled from to call me.   -----  I''m still waiting.

What needs to be done to resolve this issue is:  Replace the bottom panel of each garage door so I have the original and clean look vs. now looking old with screws and black stripping showing on the outside from them not installing what I asked for and wanted.

They obviously have issues with their employees and their customer care is to argue with the customer and not listen to what they want or will pay for.

PS:  I was never presented a bill, but good thing as I would not have paid.

Prompt service and good pricing. Custom doors came in when promised. Installation was scheduled for a few days later. Arrived on time, finished project in less than a day. Received many compliments from neighbors.

Overhead door originally installed our two garage doors back in the late 1990's. Everything worked well until something came off the track. They came out and fixed the problem without incident. Very pleased!

They were great! They came out and provided an estimate. When I placed the order they kept me apprised of the approximate delivery time. They worked with me to ensure that the doors were installed at a time that was convenient for me.

Would use this service again in the future. My only complaint is that
the repairman was here working about 1/2 hr and I thought the charge a bit
excessive for the amount of time spent.

If and when a new door becomes necessary, There's no doubt, I would use Overhead Door. My review of Shank Door will explain this decision as well.

I had thought that the entire unit would need to be replaced but the
serviceman identified that solely the gears needed replacement. It has
been working fine ever since and I would use them again. He was prompt, courteous and professional.

They were fabulous. I called them for an appointment and they were very courteous on the phone. They were out the next day. This is a house that somebody else owned before me and it was not done properly. They did it properly. They replaced both sides rather than just replacing one side and that was because I could see it after they showed me that the spring that was on there was not the same type of spring as what they replaced. What they replaced was a much heavier duty spring. It was much better. I am happy with it and I am picky. I can't say that I actually priced what the replacement would be but I am really happy. I think their price was probably a little more expensive than other places but sometimes we get that for quality work. They were prompt, courteous and took the time to explain everything. They were really good.
