"I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik from First State Ponds, and I can't recommend him enough. Erik traveled all the way from Delaware to Maryland to service my pond, which was having persistent issues with murky water. Before connecting with Erik, I had already been advised by another company to purchase a specific filter and pump. Thankfully, I found First State Ponds just in time. Erik took the time to explain that while the recommended filter might clear my water, it would require constant maintenance. He suggested a different filter and a stronger pump, but he was also willing to install the one I had already purchased if I preferred. After some consideration, I decided to take his advice and returned the original filter to have him install his recommended system. "Awful service stay away. Company technicians should not be allowed near dangerous equipment, machinery that could cause boo boo’s or shiny objects. Most incompetent people I have ever experienced. Lied to about services provided, did not setup pool properly risking significant damage and lied to both my wife and I about a service call. Was literally told parts were replaced and in the same sentence kept old parts in heater and need to order new parts?! Called manager and stated I’m done."

It’s less expensive to leave your hot tub on all the time, though you’ll want to keep it at a reduced temperature. How much you use the hot tub is also a factor. You’ll want to keep it at a constant temperature between 80 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for weekly or daily use, then bump it up right before you get in. If you don’t plan to use your hot tub that often, you can turn it off as long as there’s no risk of freezing.
