Customers say: Quick response

"I needed a specific size cabinet for a tiny house. The space inside had to have a removable shelf to access my electric panel. The top was inset and tiled to be used as a coffee bar. The corners were angled off to allow freedom of movement without bumping into it. It's a centerpiece to my house, one of the first things seen upon entering. People ask me if it's an antique, the primitive cabinet style is perfect for my home. Exactly what I wanted. The cobalt tiles match the backsplash Aaron installed in my kitchen and bathroom creating a cohesive design to my little house."

"I purchased all the necessary materials myself. All they had to do was install. I was charged $75 $68 with the 5% off coupon) for less than 1/2 hours worth of work. That translates to $150 an hour ($142.5o with a 5% discount). I like PPHI, but that price for a simple install (which I could have done myself or had my neighbor do for free), I feel is very overpriced."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

You have creative freedom when it comes to your tile trim. If, however, you are considering skipping tile trim, please think twice about that. It is good practice to install tile trim, whether on walls or flooring. Think, too, about the aesthetic you are going for and choose a trim type and color that will help enhance the space.

It’s best to start with tiling the shower floor before moving on to the walls for the most visually-pleasing results. When taking on any tiling project, you’ll want the wall tiles to “sit” neatly on the floor tiles rather than overlapping them. Finishing your floor tiles first will allow you to place your wall tiles without any gaps, holes, or awkward intersections.

Phone jack installation can be a complicated project that requires cutting holes into just the right location in the wall and running delicate wiring. This sort of job is best left to the professionals.

Glass tile is one of the easiest materials to maintain. It is both stain and water-resistant, making it easy to clean and incredibly durable. This also makes it resistant to mold and mildew. However, make sure it’s kept clean, otherwise, your grout might start to degrade. Glass is liable to scratch, so ensure you’re using non-abrasive materials and products, like soft sponges and wipes.

Whether you use a brush or roller depends on the size, shape, and amount of tiles. Rollers are easier to maneuver over large areas and can apply a more even coat of paint in a shorter time frame with no visible brushstrokes. Brushes are best for precision work, particularly in very small areas. If you don't want visible brushstrokes on your painted tiles, you can paint details with small foam brushes instead of bristled paint brushes.
