Off to a bit of a rocky start
because of wrong stain color.  Gary and I
had both agreed on a medium brown but, when the crew began to paint the porch
they realized that the color of stain in the can was nowhere near medium brown. Fortunately, they didn't continuing painting.
Because the crew had no stain chip colors on the truck, I had to make a 17 mile
round trip to Home Depot to pick out a new stain color so Gary could purchase
it and have it mixed.   Consequently, a one day job turned into a seven
day job due to weather delays and working to fit my job back into their schedule.  Greg did try to finish the job once but he no
sooner opened the can of stain than the rain began to fall again.  I had originally scheduled the work for
midsummer but, due to some unplanned repairs to my house, I had to cancel and then
reschedule pushing it into Fall when weather gets a little iffy.
During the time I was waiting
for the weather to cooperate, I did notice some chipping of cement patches around
the repairs and pointed this out to Greg. 
He reapplied some of the patches. 
I expressed concern about the viability of the base upon which the stain
would be applied.  Greg assured me that I
didn?t need to worry about it.  Also,
Gary reassured me that they would make good on any repairs that might be needed
if issues occurred within a reasonable time frame.
Finally, on day seven, three
coats of the new stain were applied and the color was perfect.  I did notice on closer inspection after stain
dried a little and the crew had left that there were a few missed spots.  I will use the stain that is left to touch
those spots up myself.
All in all many of the issues
and delays that occurred would not have happened had the person mixing the
stain had done it correctly in the first place.

Unfortunately, the repair on my front porch lasted less than 2 months although Gary & Greg both said it should last at least 2 to 5 years.  Every place they patched with concrete bubbled and peeled off right down to the old paint and porch surface.  I used no abrasive materials on the porch,e.g. salt during the winter etc.  I only used a broom to remove snow.  The porch looks worse now than it did before the work was done.  I sent photos to Gary and he has promised to come and repair and make good on the job personally.  When that happens to my satisfaction, I will rethink my current rating of his company. This is the main entrance to my house and I am embarrassed by how it looks."
