"Few tree cutting services climb any more, this company is owned by the climber so you won’t get gouged for expensive equipment or the extra cost of need to hire a climber! Great work!"

"J.C. Lyons is a very conscientious, honest professional with a great work ethic. He shows up on time, gets right to work, and cleans up the area when he's finished. He prices are very reasonable. When he agrees to provide an estimate, he comes to the site quickly. I will hire Lyon's Stump Grinding any time I need these services."

Small jobs welcome

"Jungle boys did an outstanding job on a difficult tree for a reasonable price . We had a neighbors cherry fall into our silver maple right next to the house - these guys did a great job and left the yard in great condition."

"We had an urgent situation in that the large (approx 60 ft high) locust tree in our back yard was severely leaning over the street.  It looked like it might fall down with the next storm.  I got estimates from a few other tree services who insisted that it was necessary to use a crane to hold the tree up while they cut it down.  Emery said they could do it just with their bucket truck and that they could do it two days later.  True to their promise, they showed up two days later and in two hours the tree was down, without the use of a crane.  The tree didn't move while they took it down.  Their price was 1/3 that of the other tree services.   They did an excellent job, cleaning up afterward and taking all tree pieces with them.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you ever want to see the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need to prune your peach trees. Without pruning, the trees may not grow or bear fruit since the nutrients will be divided among too many offshoots to provide any with enough energy to produce the peaches. Plus, if parts of the peach tree become diseased or pest-ridden, pruning can nip those problems in the bud.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.

Aim to have your trees inspected and pruned in early spring. At this point in the year, tree service professionals can note where there is old growth from winter and cut that back to encourage new growth for the rest of the year. Pruning at the wrong time of the year could make your trees prone to diseases.

Unlike some fruit trees, such as apple, sweet cherry, or pear that require at least two trees for pollination, most peach trees are self-pollinating. This means you can plant just one tree and still expect it to produce fruit, typically within two to four years. For best results, consult with a local landscaper to choose the right peach tree variety for your specific climate, soil type, and yard layout.

If you don’t stake a tree that needs support, it could be at greater risk of being damaged or failing completely, whether it uproots or falls over. That could cause damage to your property or other surrounding trees. If you want to grow healthy trees, you may need to stake them for best results.
