"Our family feels very lucky to have found Grass Doctor for all of our landscape needs. They are trustworthy, dependable, friendly and do great work. They are also very easy to work with. We have been very pleased with their regular landscape maintenance and tree care (Green Sky Tree Services) services. I highly recommend them."

"I've used them for several years to maintain a midsized suburban lawn. The current fee for this is $165 monthly. The crews show up on time, are courteous, and do a good job, but there are improvements the company could make. Even though the fee is billed monthly, in December and part of January there is no service. The lawn is dormant, but if I'm paying monthly, I expect some kind of yard maintenance that could be done during the winter in return. I've also had spotty service fixing lawn irrigation issues, and the staff is not well trained about limiting damage or cleanup issues to the home related to their work. Leaf blower use damages the siding and removes topsoil, and edge trimming often sprays mud up onto the walls, which must be cleaned up frequently. I think they rely too much on leaf blowers instead of using rakes in areas where the blowers create problems. The company has never asked for my feedback about their service and how it could be improved."

"I have used Roberts service twice in the last few years (2012/2014?) and was impressed with the jobs they did. When my wife and I decided it was time for a yard refresh I did not hesitate to give Robert a call. He came out the same week and we walked the property as I pointed out what I thought we needed. Robert provided good feedback and we came to a very agreeable price. This is a job that I figured would take at least a day and a half to two days. Roberts crew arrived bright and early on schedule. The team spent several hours weeding, trimming and raking during the morning then many more hours making many wheelbarrow trips with fresh bark dust and new river rocks to front and back yard. To my delight the team was able to complete all of the requirements by end of day. The result is outstanding. My wife and I could not be happier and we know that the next time we want to make more changes Robert will be the very first person on the list to call. P. Kalk"

"Clean Air Lawn Care has been such a blessing. I initially selected them because they are Organic and Electric, but have been beyond impressed with their customer focus and communication. I am 72, so having someone that cares really matters. The owner is very accessible and all the employees that have been here have done amazing work and are very personable and professional. Thank you Clean Air!"

"Great experience from start to finish! Herminio and his crew did an excellent job. Towards the end of the day, I had some last minute changes to the planned layout of the yard, and Herminio was able to accommodate me no problem! I will use Green Growth again and recommend them to anyone looking for quality landscaping services at a fair price."

"Saul and his partner did an excellent job! The initial consult with Saul was informative, during which time he advised me to remove a huge, invasive butterfly bush, and also gave his advice about cleaning up and maintaining my lawn. Saul and his partner showed up promptly, and were very efficient and thorough. The removed the butterfly bush, mowed and cleaned up a lot of weeds, as well as cleaning up the debris. The price was reasonable, and I feel that I got my money's worth, for sure. The lawn looks great now! I highly recommend Bazoria's for any landscaping needs."

"Reyes Landscaping did a great job! I had been looking for someone to do this task for me! When I found Reyes’ I was so pleased. Jamie came and pulled the weeds one day and spread the mulch another day. He was thorough, timely, courteous, and communicative! I will use him next year and refer"

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Adding vinegar to your lawn increases the acidity of the area, which can kill quack grass present above the ground. However, putting vinegar in your yard will also kill the grass. Unfortunately, the below-ground quack grass rhizomes remain very much alive in the presence of vinegar and will soon sprout again.

If you spray a DIY vinegar solution that contains high salt, it can disrupt the soil's structure and make it difficult for plants to grow. That's why it's vital to avoid spraying vinegar solution on areas where you are trying to grow plants and flowers. When using a mix of vinegar and soap, some say you can plant a few days after the vinegar dries.

Yes, Johnsongrass is a hard weed to kill. It has the ability to grow fast and spread even quicker, so it requires a detailed plan and thorough application to eliminate it. The best plan of action is to kill Johnsongrass while the weed is establishing itself by hiring a lawn care professional or following the steps above.

It’s not legal to intentionally damage a neighbor’s tree. Even if the roots of a tree encroach into your yard, if you damage or kill a tree that belongs to your neighbor, you can be held liable for the damage in most cases. Since herbicides can spread through the tree, causing damage to the whole tree and not just the roots that are on your side of the property line, you shouldn’t poison your neighbor’s tree. The other downside to this method is that if the tree dies, it can fall onto your property and cause more damage, so herbicides are best avoided in this circumstance.

Buffalo grass does not turn green as early in the spring as some other grasses. If you have a heavily shaded yard, buffalo grass may not receive enough sunlight to thrive. It’s not as dense as some other grass varieties, so it may not feel as comfortable on bare feet.
