"I had a clogged kitchen sink. I tried a variety of methods but the clog got worse. Sewer Renewal Specialists sent Tony to assess the problem and unclog the drain. Tony identified a cleanout right under the sink and unclogged it using a plumbing snake through that cleanout.. The water drains fine now. I'm happy with the work done and with the company's prompt response to my issue."

"It was a draining cleaning for my washing machine. They were prompt, friendly and open to discuss the process. I was moving into a new home and the previous owner had disconnected the exhaust hose. The technician took the time to reconnect the exhaust hose without an additional charge."

"I have very hard water and wanted a unit installed. I called Ecowater Northwest because they were local and had excellent ratings on Angie's List. Aaron came to my house, answered all my questions, tested my water and recommended the two units I had installed. Dave did the installing and did an excellent job. I am very happy with the results and would recommend them to anybody that needs this type of service."

"Dabella is an amazing company to work with for roofing services! Jordan is very personable, courteous, and took time to explain every detail involved in the process. During the job the installers were on top of everything! Cleaned my yard every day and enjoyed watching my dog try to supervise them! Highly recommend using DaBella for any service they offer!"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Several signs can tip you off to a clogged dishwasher drain. At first, you may notice that it’s taking longer than usual for the dishwasher to drain, or you may hear gurgling sounds during the draining part of the cycle. You might also notice water backing up into your sink or excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher after a load. The most obvious sign, though, is seeing standing water at the bottom of your dishwasher after the cycle has finished.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.

Liquid drain cleaners are harsh chemicals that can erode your pipes. To treat a slow drain or for preventative maintenance, pour hot water down the drain to break up gunk and help move it along. Make sure the water isn’t boiling hot (keep it under 140 degrees Fahrenheit) if you have plastic pipes. However, you’ll need to pull the clog out for bigger backups.

Clean regularly with non-abrasive cleaners, avoid pouring grease down the drain, and check for leaks under the sink.

For disposal clogs with standing water, use a sink plunger and place it over the garbage disposal drain. Push the sink plunger up and down the drain about six to eight times before lifting. If the sink drains, the clogged food particles are dislodged from the drain. If there’s still standing water, repeat the steps until the standing water clears out.
