"We had some very scary trees hanging over our house and with winter comming we needed them delt with. They got us a quote fast that was definitely reasonable and we're out the next week to do the work. The owner Guy walked us through what would happened, to reassure me that my house was not gonna be in harms way. He took down the trees effortlessly and cleaned up like nothing ever happened. Definitely gonna call them back when I'm ready to do some more clean up around my property. Very pleased with the services he provides and the knowledge he has. Thank you!"

Small jobs welcome

"James Bickers and Tree crew did everything that was agreed on. Clean-up, even with water flowing in Gilbert Creek and a 10 ft steep bank they did a professional job. I am satisfied with their work and would recommend them to other homeowners/business' that might need tree service. They were by far the best price for the service that needed to be done. "Matt was really great we had a tree in our bottom section by the creek we needed to take down before anymore rain came. It was right on the edge of the embankment where we already had a larger one fall and just missed the neighbors shed. He was very professional and communicated personably with me also marked the trees that I needed to watch and which ones should come down. I'm going to have him come back again to debranch some of my trees to clean them up."

"Removed 2 trees from my front yard. They did a great job falling the trees and clean up. Our subdivision has zero lot lines. No encroachment on the neighboring land. No damage to roadway or other property."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you don’t stake a tree that needs support, it could be at greater risk of being damaged or failing completely, whether it uproots or falls over. That could cause damage to your property or other surrounding trees. If you want to grow healthy trees, you may need to stake them for best results.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury.

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.

The ideal time to prune a tree depends on the type of tree. Typically, late winter or early spring is a good time to prune but isn't always the case for "towering trees." It's best to trim when trees are dormant and before blooms appear but can vary depending on the tree type. It's always best to research the type of tree or ask a professional tree trimmer to determine when is the perfect time to prune your tree.

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.
