"Would have been 5 Stars across the board, but 2 different workers did the job and some little things fell through the cracks. Nothing too major (reattach shower heads removed by first person, holes left unfilled in tile from door replacement)... would recommend taking care of at the time, I wasn't there."
"We hired Laser Tile to tile our shower and bathroom floor. The quality of work is so good that we will hire John again for any other work we need done. His work is excellent, he shows up and gets the work done when he says he will, putting in as much time as he needs to do it right and on time. He is very easy to work with, responsive - answers his phone - and checks during the progress of his work to make sure he is doing exactly what you want. His work is beautiful as well as excellent. We are very satisfied and happy and highly recommend John!"

"Exceptional Tile and Flooring Services ? Highly Recommended!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Kobel Tile and Floor LLC and for a tile and flooring project, and I couldn?t be more impressed with their service! From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a true commitment to quality.
The selection of tiles and flooring options was extensive, with beautiful designs and high-quality materials to fit any style and budget. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and helped guide me to the perfect choices for my home.
The installation process was seamless. The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and paid close attention to every detail. Their craftsmanship was outstanding, and they left my space looking absolutely stunning. Not only that, but they also maintained a clean and organized workspace throughout the project.
What truly set apart was their customer service. They were friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure my complete"
"Eugene and his team were very professional and did a great job with my kitchen floor. During the demo part, they ran into some unplanned issues with the flooring, and then later with the tile itself but they always made it work or suggested the best options to move forward. The job was completed on time and the finished floors looks great."
"We wanted to update our Kitchen with a new counter top. Jeff (of Anchor Renovating) helped us pick out the right granite and designed a really interesting design for the backsplash. He incorporated these really beautiful glass tiles into the counter top, something that I would have never thought of. And it looks great! He's not just a tile setter he has a great eye for design and he knows how to to execute it. I would definitely recommend him for his design, as well as, his skills as a contractor. Jeff had so many really great ideas and our Kitchen turned out really nice. Because of the reasonable price, we wanted him to do other projects for us too. We had him finish the basement so that it became a fully functioning apartment kitchen. He installed upper cabinets and cut out a tile floor. As well as another unique backsplash of mosaics that met the upper cabinets. We also had him do the floor in our office and install marble in our master bathroom. The last thing he did for us (and also quite impressive) was cleaning and sealing the grout on our laundry room floor. After he was done it looked perfect. As good as the day it was set.... but not even a week later, I had a mishap with a Costco size bottle of Teriyaki sauce. The black sauce went everywhere! All over my beautiful white grout and white tile, and I couldn't believe how good it cleaned up! Not one stain! Thanks again Jeff! "
"Excellent work and service. Manolo came out, looked at the work needed and gave me a fair quote. He and Abraham were here on time and got right to work. I’m very happy with the completed job and I appreciate the care they took to cover and protect the entire work area as well as the thorough cleanup they did. Thanks Manolo and Abraham!"
You cannot tile directly over hot mop waterproofing because tile requires a smooth, solid surface to adhere properly. Additionally, the shower bed pan needs to be raised and sloped toward the drain to prevent water from pooling. However, you can hot mop and apply a sloped mortar bed over the top (to which the tile can then be adhered).
You can attach tiles to a wall using thin-set mortar. You’ll also need a notched trowel to create grooves within the adhesive so it flattens completely when pressed in and securely holds the wall tiles. Finally, you’ll need grout to smooth the gaps between the tiles and, ideally, a grout sealer to prevent mold. While it sounds simple enough, proper planning and execution are crucial, so carefully review the steps in this guide or hire a pro tile installer to complete this project.
Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.
Grout and caulk are commonly used together, especially in bathrooms. Grout goes between the tiles and keeps them sturdy and in place on the walls or floor. Caulk goes in corners or where two different materials meet (like where the bathtub meets the tile) to create a waterproof seal. However, they are not interchangeable—you shouldn't use caulk to adhere tile and shouldn’t use mortar if you need a waterproof seal.
It’s best to start with tiling the shower floor before moving on to the walls for the most visually-pleasing results. When taking on any tiling project, you’ll want the wall tiles to “sit” neatly on the floor tiles rather than overlapping them. Finishing your floor tiles first will allow you to place your wall tiles without any gaps, holes, or awkward intersections.
