They did a fabulous job of tuning up and fixing a more than 30-year-old gas fireplace, getting it up and running, and saving us the huge expense of having to get a new fireplace. They also installed a remote control and new fan control for the fireplace, despite how old it is. I would recommend the services of Refiners Fire Services very very highly.

Kevin did a great job fixing my gas stove insert. It needed a lot of love, and he delivered.

We used Refiners Fire to install our wood stove. Not only did they destroy our hearth pad, they installed a damaged flue and did not bother to tell us until we inspected before he left. They promised to come out and fix it. We paid the final invoice (big mistake) now they dont respond and we are left with a damaged flue. I would also add they sent the inspector out without notifying us (I was at a school function and they were super irritated I was not just sitting at home waiting around for the week) Almost $4k. I would highly recommend NOT using this company.

Prompt courteous service

They were prompt to respond for an initial quote and repeated that promptness throughout the project, which was diagnosing and fixing my gas fireplace. After completing the work on my fireplace, the tech. gave me tips for maintaining my fireplace. For the service provided, this is by far a great value. Highly recommended.

My gas fireplace quit working. I called Refiners Fire Services and they came out and diagnosed the problem and fixed it. When the glass was off he checked the burner and did some light cleaning inside. Everything works great now!

Good experience

Two other companies said my fireplace could not be repaired.$10-$15000 for a new one. Refiners fixed it for less than $700. Fantastic. They went above and beyond to resolve the broken valve and replaced it.

Still not done, have to keep calling

I do not like to give bad reviews therefore I?m giving it a two stars other than one. Unfortunately, in our experience, it was not a good one at all. Lack of communication, professionalism, and quality of work was very poor. Along with that, he made a very deep scratch in our 1-1/2 year old floors right at the entryway and in the kitchen, so it is a constant reminder of the disappointment of the fireplace project. He tried to fix it but unless it?s completely replaced it won?t do. He gave us a very small discount but did not volunteer even that. Sorry to say it was one of the worst experiences we have had.

The sales and scheduling were efficient with quick responses. The service repair person spent a total of 15 minutes supposedly cleaning the fireplace which is what I was quoted. I thought he would vacuum all the dust and debris from 10+ years. Instead, he said he wiped the inside; I still see dust. And worst of all, the fireplace does not always turn on the first time. Sometimes I have to click the switch twice. While it works, for $245 (I was quoted $275 but brought it down by 10% as a competitor quoted $239) it was a very high price to pay for 15 min. worth of work.

I spoke to the business twice before they came out. Each time I mentioned that I had problems with 2 fireplaces. I also sent them an email describing that I had a problem with 2 fireplaces. I was sent a bid for $275.00. I thought that this was high, but went ahead anyway. The Tech was here for less than 30 minutes, including the time that he used our bathroom. I then received a bill for $400.00. I contacted RFS and was told that $275.00 was for the first fireplace and $125.00 for the second! I pointed out that they were advised that it was for 2 fireplaces twice verbally and once in writing. I expected some compromise given that they were advised of the 2 Fireplaces and the tech was here for less than half an hour but they didn't. BEWARE!
