"My husband and I went through a bit of a time with a mini-split A/C and heating unit we had installed back in August 2022. The unit cooled well but it ran loudly and would surge very high then back down for no reason. We started using the heater in Dec. when it was getting cold at night and immediately began having problems, always shutting off and going to the codes. The owner of Indoor Airman, Jeff, immediately sent Vic to check it out. To shorten this review, we will say that after several trips out to Williams and unable to get the unit to work properly, Indoor Airman replaced it with a new unit and motherboard and ità ¢à  à  s been working beautifully! We apparently got a à ¢à  à  lemonà ¢à  à  unit which was NOT any fault of Indoor Airman. We canà ¢à  à  t say enough good things about how this was handled, and how professional and kind every employee was who came to our home. We highly recommend this company for your heating and A/C needs. Thank you to everyone at Indoor Airman, Jeff, Dan Nash, Vic, Danny (installer) and your helper. Also Mark and Valarie, you all rock!!"

"highly recommend Atlas heating an air after receiving 3 bids from the top HVAC companies in the valley. I have a fair amount of knowledge on HVAC systems and I knew my system was beyond repair Jason did a great job explaining the best solution for my situation. I accepted a fair bid and then met with Tim, Curtis and Nathan for the install. These guys are very professional, really nice and took pride in a quality install. I love my new Daikin system its quite and heats and cools much faster then my old system did on its best days. Thank you Atlas I really appreciate you guys."

"Allied Comfort Pro has outstanding customer service. We had two other companies out for a service call and they could not diagnose the issue. We were recommended to call Allied and their service tech came out and not only found the issue with our HP but also informed us about their Maintenance service plan. The technician was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain how our system operates. We highly recommend this company."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes. Return air vents are responsible for gathering and pulling in the warmer air. Once they draw it in, your system conditions the air by removing the warmer molecules from it, allowing your air conditioner to dispense the cooler air back into your home. Not only does this create a more comfortable environment for you, but it also keeps your air conditioner from overworking, resulting in lower energy bills.

If there’s a freon leak in your home’s AC unit, it will cause the system to work overtime to cool the house. That issue will result in higher energy bills and it will take much longer for cool air to disperse throughout the home. If your system has a freon leak during the summer, it can make hot days miserable. That’s why it’s important to hire an HVAC professional to resolve a freon leak as quickly as possible.

When a compressor gets overheated in central air systems or heat pumps, it can still cool your home for a while until it eventually gives out. If the compressor is chronically overheated and no one addresses the root cause, it will create an incredibly expensive problem when your entire HVAC system breaks down and stops working altogether.

It’s never a good idea to run your AC without a filter, even just for a night. The filter defends your HVAC system from the dust, dirt, debris, and other grime in your home. Without a filter, those contaminants are more likely to get inside your system and potentially damage it.

Whether an HVAC damper should be open or closed depends on the season, the zone it controls, and the temperature in that zone. In the summer, open upstairs dampers and close lower-level dampers to get the most efficient cooling possible. In the winter, do the opposite. Cool air will naturally flow down to lower levels, while warm air will rise. This keeps your system from working harder and helps prevent common AC problems.
