"Scope of project: 1) reset/regrade pavers stones in front walkway and back patio area that were displaced by new driveway and trenches, 2) install drain in low spot connecting to an existing drain, 3) demo a platform of pavers next to the garage to make even with the rest of the patio. I had a wonderful experience hiring Jose with Luna Masonry from beginning to end. I chose him over other bids because he seemed very knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and well versed in the scope of my project. His estimate also seemed like a fair fee. Jose and crew were able to schedule right away and completed my project in a timely fashion. The end result was very impressive and they cleaned up the work area well. "We have a cabin on the Northern Oregon coast which rests at the edge of a steep hill. Over the years, we noticed some settling with sloping floors, sticking doors, and a foundation crack. We called Ram Jack West after the local foundation expert in Clatsop County failed to follow up on a promised bid. "We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid, but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid."

"The estimator, Jacob, was very professional and provided several options. His bid was competitive. After negotiating a price, the work was scheduled for a few weeks later. The three-person crew arrived on time and got right to work. They did a good job keeping the interior of our home clean. However, some of their work was substandard. They failed to secure the new vapor barrier adequately in several locations and they disposed of a broken concrete (they had to remove it from our driveway for the discharge pipe and drain) by scattering it beneath some trees in our landscaped beds. When I discovered those issues the next day, I called John's and they had someone fix the problem with the vapor barrier and remove the concrete a few weeks later."

Other landscapers said they would do this or that but Pablo was able to do it all. GTG was always on time and respectful of the property.
