"Thanks [Member Name Removed], I appreciate your business and look forward to working with you again in the soon future."
"Great [Member Name Removed], I appreciate your business and look forward to working again soon in the future."
"Wow [Member Name Removed], most of what you say is not true..you were the biggest complainer of every move we did. I came back and went above the call of duty to make you happy. I see that you can't make everyone happy. Sorry that you feel that way..good luck with other companies."
The existing stairs and landing were starting to crumble and needed to be replaced. Ron came out and gave an estimate that was in the middle of the estimates that I got. He also impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism so I went with him even though he was scheduled 3-4 weeks in advance. We were able to schedule around a business trip that I had. The crew was hard-working, courteous and knew what they were doing. The only slight negative was that the work took a day longer than estimated (three days instead of two) but the price was the same -- I just had to work from home an additional day. I've received compliments on the stairs and would consider Ron for other work. While he was here we informally discussed options/costs for a retaining wall and patio pavers.
Wow! Our driveway and walkways look great. Ron and his crew started on Monday, removed our old driveway and two walkways and replaced them with pavers from a local manufacturer Willamette Greaystone. He started on time, finished on time, and his quoted price did not change even though we had several design enhancements requiring additional material and labor,
I would highly recommend "All About Concrete and Masonry" with absolutely no reservations. We could not be happier.
Thank you Ron, Jose and the team for a job well done.
Another bonus to us was that every member of Ron's crew was kind and sincere. They kindly answered questions, made sure we knew it was ok to walk through the areas they were working on if we needed to and dealt patiently with our crazy dog who was constantly trying to sneak out to see them!!!
The cost of the job was exactly as was quoted plus some additional square footage we added after the quote (that Ron gave us a price on before ordering more pavers) so we knew exactly what we were getting into before the job started.
"(removed member name), It was a pleasure working with you and (removed member name). You both were understanding and appreciated the advise from me and my crew. I look forward to returning and starting the next phase of your hardscaping."
Various technical glitches did occur, and we negotiated for the crew to fix them during a break in their very busy schedule. The crew also left our site messier and more affected than anticipated. Ron recommended follow up landscaping, and the contractor selected uses different techniques for Belgard paver installation. Sorting out professional differences, we paid for one technical redo while staying with Ron's advice and choices on other technical and aesthetic components of the patio and walkways.
Since the project was completed we have received many compliments on what All About Concrete built!
Our primary reason for not having All About Concrete back would be concern about differences between our expectations and the crew's about residential site treatment and clean-up. If there were a way to build into the bid the cost of extra time for site care and clean-up, during and at the close of the project, that would resolve concerns and lead to a "yes" for "would you use this provider in the future"
"(removed member name), I appreciate your input but not sure of the cleanup issues. When we left the site 1.5 years ago you had mentioned all was great. I am not sure why you are now posting this after all this time. I monitor my job site everyday and it is always left as clean as an outdoor project can be left."
It was a big job requiring demo-ing the old, cracked composite steps and driveway, brick planter and old patio pavers, but he broke it into three stages so we weren't inconvenienced. Ron estimated it would take 2 weeks, and they stayed on track. His wonderful crew (Serafino and Jaime - I think) showed up every day right on time, were delightful to have on site, worked incredibly hard, contributed great ideas and took meticulous care to get the brickwork perfect.
All in all, we are very glad we selected All About Concrete & Masonry. Ron offered good design suggestions and listened politely when I asked for other options. The artistry and dedication of his masons was impressive. Our neighbors all took note of the lovely work in progress and complimented us on the improvements.
My only suggestion for those seeking to take on a big job like this is to make sure you have a careful conversation prior to each new stage to make 100% certain you agree on the outcomes. Ron didn't provide any sketches of the work beforehand, so I had to trust that his vision matched what was in my own head. For the most part that worked fine, and the one time it didn't, Ron and his crew worked overtime to fix the issue to my satisfaction.
At the close of the main job, Ron said he would return in 2 weeks to touch up the mortar in the bricks. It is September now, and I hope he'll have time to do this once his summer season slows down.
They were very professional and easy to work with. Ron worked with our suggestions and listened to what we envisioned
then came up with a plan to complete our project. We are very happy.
Ron is very easy to work with and always answers his phone. His team worked fast to complete the job and were always ready to adjust direction when required. Most of the areas were laid out before they were fixed in place, so we could make decisions along the way.
Everyone behaved respectfully and were always polite when asked questions. At the end of the day Ron's team cleaned up and left the site in an appropriate state.
Ron completed the brief to the original budget and was very fair in agreeing costs when we added one or two additional items.
In conclusion we are extremely pleased with the end product and we feel that we received good value and a team that behaved professionally.
Very pleased with Ron's communication skills and promptness to respond.
Schedule planning was very accurate. Invoicing and billing receipts were accurately and promptly done.
Work crew was always on time, pleasant to work with, and worked hard and productively
Ron's design ideas were good and welcomed.
Quality of work was outstanding and we are very pleased with the finished product.
We have received many compliments on the project from visitors for the holiday weekend.
I will be hiring All About Concrete and Masonry for further projects.
