Though there was an appointment SNAFU re scheduling the first time, I was very pleased with the help I got from Lo's. The contractor examined my situation and talked with me at length. Though he gave me a quote and was willing to do the repairs, he actually ended up giving me valuable advice about how I might solve the problem myself and where to seek alternative flooring materials that I ended up purchasing. I felt like the contractor really gave an unbiased opinion which, in this case, didn't end up leading me to use his services. However, I appreciated it greatly

After numerous bids my husband and I decided to go with Lo's based on their reviews, responsiveness, professionalism and estimate. We were very happy with their service from start to finish. Lori (Office Manager and a whole lot more) and Amadou make a great team that results in quality communication, clear expectations and friendly service. From the start, Amadou cleary communicated what needed to be done to prepare our basement for waterproofing, then what steps would be taken to get it to a fully finished state once done. We were working under tight timelines from the waterproofing company and Lo's was extremely flexible to ensure all the prep work was done on time. They were forced to move some work out due to unexpected delays from the waterproofing company and they were very accomodating to this....despite being busy with other jobs. They started by removing most of the drywall in our basement, as well as the framing, insulation and carpet. Work and cleanup was quick. Finish work went smoothly; this included rebuild of framing, new insulation, new drywall, new molding and interior painting. Staff was on time and friendly, they even allowed me to make changes along the way. On a final note, after having numerous contractors to our house for misc projects/updates, Amadou was present through the entire process and stopped by most days to inspect work. After completion I had an additional request for a minor bit of work (hour max) on something and he offered to come out and have it completed free of charge. I would highly recommend Lo's. Very well. Amadou and his staff focused on the issue and provided several options. We had talked to two other contractors and there proposed solutions ranged from a $2000 fix (replacing step) to a $5000 option (that wasn't even in the area of the leak). Amadou included a replacement option (at a slighty lower price), along with two other options for us to consider (with varying price points)

He and the crew obviously were very experienced and knew what they were doing. I'm not 100% sure if this is the right location as we called a local Portland number. We live in SE portland and have a 1910 Old Portland home. The basement has been a moist problem for the last 10 years or so. You can smell the damp air and my wife hates to keep anything down there as she thinks there's mold in them thar regions. We called a couple of places which specialize in this kind of work and chose TerraFirma based on the knowledge and professionalism of their sales rep Ryan Bothman. The other places although less expensive just seemed to say "ya ya" a lot and either didn't understand the products they were selling or just didn't listen to what I wanted accomplished. When the work commenced the lead was friendly and very helpful. We had a full water management system installed with a sump pump and a De-humidifier. They cleaned up after themselves very well and we are so very happy we went with TerraFirma. Call them and ask for Ryan Bothman. You will be happy you did. From the "system design specialist" who evaluated the problem through the completion of the work, everything went very smoothly. As is often the case with older houses (1923) there were surprises, but the experienced Terra Firma crew was able to adapt and complete the system on time and on budget.

"From the first visit to my home from Sean for an estimate, to the crew that arrived to do the project I was impressed. Everyone was extremely professional. The crew arrived on time, the crew leader introduced me to the rest of the crew and explained how they would proceed with the project. They protected the work spaces with plastic from my garage to the crawl space opening in side my closet. They went to work and kept me informed about the progress. The whole crew worked very efficiently and got the project done in one day. They left work area spotless when they were done. I would highly recommend this company for any waterproofing project!!

"So I met Dale in Central Oregon this past weekend and after finding out what Lovett does discovered that I had a need that they could possibly fulfill. First of all Dale told me to let him know if I did not get 5 Star Service. Here is a recap of my experience: On Sunday morning prior to breaking our camp, Dale told me that I would be getting a call to schedule service after 9:30 on Monday. At 9:32 I received a call from Pat at Lovett. Pat was friendly, personable and knowledgeable and I felt that she understood exactly what I needed. To my surprise I was told that someone could stop by today. I booked an appointment and as promised Jose called me prior to arrival and showed up exactly when he said that he would. "Owner reached back out - am satisfied with resolution for now. Communication drop in the middle of the project is a previously reviewed issue here so this is not unusual. While they may let things drop without telling you they are held up, they at least DO make it right if you make enough noise high enough up including swapping schedules around to fix a gaping hole. For this I rate them 'Good' on the strength of the owner's integrity.

"Chris came out to do the initial assessment. I had been reading about crawlspace treatments, so I had questions about encapsulation and 16 mil vapor barrier. Rather than upselling, he told me that; 1. The insulation I had was hanging down all over the place, meaning it wasn't accomplishing anything, so he recommended removing it. He said that replacing it wouldn't help much and would not be cost effective. 2. Since I had no water issues the 16 mil vapor barrier wouldn't be of any value to me and the standard 6 mil material would do just fine for about $1000 less. I had asked for the right solution, not the cheapest, so I very much appreciate his recommendations. The actual job went off as scheduled with no problems. They sent me pictures, which was great, since I don't ever intend to go under there again. I also had a number of interactions with the office manager, Julie, and found her to be pleasant and responsive every time.
