"Nathan was professional and thorough. Completed everything in the bid on time and for the agreed upon price, which was very fair. Very good communication and follow through. We have a steep vineyard site that required extensive brush clearing and grading, along with a driveway that needed gravel replacement and resurfacing. "Heavy D excavation took 20 years of overgrowth on my 30 acres and turned it into a park like setting. Cody created roads, removed brush and trees that were sick or dead, and took care to keep anything healthy. I am creating a campground and he carved out all the spaces, taking care to keep things flowing and aesthetically pleasing. The fire roads were so good, even the fire marshall was impressed. "Daniel was awesome to work with. He came out and provided a solid estimate in a timely fashion. We had an unexpected sprinkler line that was in the middle of our excavation area and he took care of that. The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. Because decomposed granite is a durable material, a crushed rock or gravel base is optional as long as the DG is properly installed and compacted. Installing an adequate base can also increase the durability of driveways and walkways. If you forego the paver base or gravel underneath, line the area with landscaping fabric to avoid weeds.

You do not have to dig footers for a deck as long as it meets local code and holds up to weather in your area. Deck blocks, post anchors with base plates, and helical pile systems are the three no-dig deck post options you can choose from if local code permits.
