"They had to come back to repair a couple of the leaks they had previously repaired. This time  it was the owner who showed up.This time he stated that we needed a new roof at a pretty considerable cost.I think it wad probably a fair estimate but unable to afford it at this time."

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with.
