IBEX Roof is a residential roofing contractor serving the Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA areas. We focus on asphalt residential roofing. IBEX Roof promises to offer an extremely competent roofing service. What does that mean? You will not have to call us looking for your roof replacement estimate multiple times, we will show up when we say we will, and we will follow up to make sure you are satisfied with your roof project.

"I'm a thorough researcher before hiring ANY company, so I read all the reviews from multiple top roofing companies and sought out four estimates before selecting Ibex Roofing to do a complete roof replacement on our steeply pitched home. The workers were truly professional, they did a great job in very cold, damp weather, to hold the debris they brought a dumpster on wheels instead of dropping a massive metal dumpster in the driveway, which could crack concrete, and they were prompt and cleaned up well after the roof was complete. After the roof was done they came back and inspected the work, and only at that time did they accept payment for the job, which I thought was a nice touch. (Many ask for at least half of the money before or during the process. Ibex only asked for 10% to get in their project queue.) Bottom line, our roof looks great, the cost was reasonable, and I'm so glad to have that major project over! I feel I made a great choice in using Ibex."

Window services FAQs

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.

Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.

  • Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase

  • Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers

  • Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement

  • Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks

There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.

Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.

The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
