After some unexpected challenges with the way our home was built, our installation crew quickly and efficiently adapted to make sure our windows and door were installed with expert care. Every time we see our new beautiful picture window we are left breathless! And our beautiful front door is the perfect upgrade for the look of our home. Thank you RBA!"

"We are getting new premium vinyl windows. My DaBella representative shared the advantages of safety and energy efficiency as well as the convenience of operation of windows. That and his overall friendliness and attentiveness sealed the deal. My representative was Josh Jordan"

"FullTime Contractor replaced seven windows in my home, and replaced a double door to the deck, with a slider. I was very pleased with the services of Jason Olinger and his field team; noteworthy: (1) informative website, (2) discovery & review meetings clearly identified options, scope, schedule, and cost; a concise Statement of Work was developed; (3) periodic 'touch-bases' informed me of visits for measurement, status of material order, materials delivery, planned installation dates, and progress reviews/updates; (4) materials delivery was smooth; (5) install was smooth, and the install team very friendly and informative; (6) quality of work was exceptional; (7) customer satisfaction inquiry was appreciated; and (8) billing was clear and simple. I highly recommend Mr. Olinger & his FullTime Contractor team and won't hesitate to call upon them again, soon!"

"My computer (Windows XP) was running very slow and had become almost inoperable. It was taking a very long time to process anything, especially anything to do with the internet. IE was taking 100% of the cpu most of the time. Jim worked on my computer remotely for several days defragging, cleaning, anti-virus, malware, etc., but could not get it to perform anywhere near where it should. We decided that I needed a new computer. Jim built me a new computer (Windows 7 with racing stripes). The new system works very well and I am pleased with it. When Jim switched my files over from old to new, the Kodak Easy-Share program with my pictures did not get transferred. He has promised to make that transfer when he installs a new door covering the DVD reader which was broken upon setup. I will update this review when this occurs. I am very pleased with the new system and would do it all over again if a similar situation were present.

"Sales process was good, courteous and helpful. Installation instructions were easy to follow. Did have a small issue with one sensor which was easily solved with a call. Control panel is easy to use and well constructed. Phone app is the best part. Not a big fan of a 2 year contract and the monthly rate feels a little high, but definitely a decent system. I had emailed them a question pertaining installing on double hung windows and never received a reply, but other than that their phone support prior to that was good."

"It was a big job, perhaps too large for this company.  They painted by using a spray paint method.  In order to do this, they took down everything like window treatments including the hardware, bathroom wall fixtures and neglected to put everything back.  They did fill in all holes in the walls, and some were very deep, The linoleum was left with a split in a small area in the kitchen. The carpeting was done excellent.
They were very sloppy as they left my items, and theirs all over the house,  inside on the floor and outside on the ground. They needed paint to "touch-up" the places they left marks on and I had to pay for it.
One of the painters was nice enough to tighten a kitchen pipe that was leaking.  I don't believe he told Mr. Hanrahan or I would have been charged.
The extra  items I have been charged for I was told would be sent to me by email and I am still waiting.
There was never a contract showing his work is guaranteed for any lenght of time.
I had a coupon from Angie's list that he did not honor.

"It went very well. Matt Downey and Matt Lively are the owners of the company, and their knowledge of different available window/door products was very helpful when we were deciding which would be the best for our house. Matt and Matt bring samples of the window/door frames and windows so that you can see how they are constructed. That makes it a lot easier to decide which way to go. After our initial meeting, We met the two Matts at the Alside warehouse so that we could see an actual installed window in the showroom. That really helped us to make our choice.
The installation occurred on a Saturday and Sunday. The crew arrived right on time and began work immediately. They worked until 5 p.m. on Saturday and returned at 9 a.m. Sunday, finishing by 3 p.m. The crew was very friendly and they didn't mind my watching how they did their work. They put tarps down in the house to protect the floors. The installation was very quick; we didn't expect that it would be done so fast. After installation was complete, they dusted the work area, vacuumed around the work area, and removed all the scrap from the installation and the old windows and door.
If we ever need windows again, we're going with Rocket Construction LLC of Portland.

Windows questions, answered by experts

Bifold windows work by using a track that allows panels to slide to the side and "stack" so they take up minimal space, leaving the largest opening. The sashes connect to each other with butt hinges or concealed hinges and to the window frame with the same type of hinges you’d find on a casement window. Some manual bifold windows also have casement stays or another piece of hardware to keep your windows in place when they’re open.

Impact windows are a type of window made with impact-resistant glass, designed specifically for hurricanes. The glass, treated with ethylene-vinyl, can withstand winds up to 200 mph, as well as flying debris. Brands sometimes test their impact windows with large missile impact tests.

Impact windows may be required in some places. For instance, the Florida Building Code requires homes to have impact-resistant windows if they live within a mile of the coast where wind speeds can reach 110 mph or more.

A window may fail because of age, defective mechanisms, or moisture. Depending on the issue, the window may be fixed with simple repairs. Otherwise, you’ll have to invest in replacing it. You can avoid damaged windows but keeping up with window maintenance.

Yes, it is generally better and more cost-effective to replace all your windows at once. Contractors often lower the per-window labor and material costs for larger projects, saving you money in the long run. Installers may also quote a flat rate for overhead, making multiple small jobs more expensive than one large one.

Replacing all windows simultaneously offers other advantages:

  • Aesthetics and Home Value: It creates a cohesive style and uniform energy efficiency, which is appealing to potential home buyers.

  • Efficiency: The entire replacement process, which can take several weeks, is completed in a single, more efficient project.

However, replacing all windows requires a significant upfront investment. While you can replace just a few windows, experts recommend replacing at least five to eight at a time to avoid high overhead costs. An exception is when a single window is damaged; in that case, it can be replaced on its own.

Clean with non-abrasive cleaners and a soft cloth, avoiding ammonia-based products that can degrade the film.
