"I went with Eric’s team because they appeared trustworthy and a solid match for our project. Sadly he has abandoned our project and is no longer responding to resolve. Not only is the remodel project incomplete, his team tore off parts of the property he didn’t need to leaving us with 2-3 times more work, costs, and needed supplies to complete the project. Heartbreaking & costly"

Re-Bath is the Nation's Largest Bathroom Remodeler. Since 1978, we have continued to offer customers only the best bathroom remodeling experience. Whether it's a Tub/Shower Update, Aging and Accessibility Solutions, or Complete Bathroom Remodeling, it starts with Re-Bath.

"What a roller coaster. As of the time I am typing this, my wife is a couple hours from being induced into labor. We wanted this project done so she could labor at home in a new tub, and new bathroom. One of the main selling factors was the time. ReBath would GC and it would take 9 days. That was the reason we went with them. It was a little weird having to coordinate our own electrical, but we got it sorted. Wasn’t exactly something ReBath was keen on accommodating at first, but I don’t have time for that story right now. Fast forward to the project. Given my wife’s pregnancy and the fact that we have 3 dogs, we thought it would be a good idea to get an Airbnb for the project. We stayed in an Airbnb in town for 6 days, thinking that would be the bulk of the project. Cost us an extra 1,600 bucks. The project started on Friday 8/11. It just “finished” last night, 9/6, after the painter spent 11 hours in our home to get it done. (Three coats including primer in one day?) 26 days. Nearly 3 times the promised timeframe. The room wasn’t cleaned, so I woke up early today to throw away the garbage the workers left, to mop and dust and shop vac, to put electrical covers on, and to get the room ready to move our stuff back in so our house can be somewhat ready for our new baby. The final straw was last night at about 7:30pm. This project taking so long, our stuff being all over the house, and the general state of unpreparedness we are in for our baby because of the extended work caused my wife to break down into tears last night. I had to sit there for almost an hour and comfort her because if she gets induced our baby’s crib is full of bathroom stuff. I had to watch my wife bawling because of the stress, and this wasn’t even the first time. She wanted a home birth, but they have strict blood pressure guidelines. What do you think a project like this does to a pregnant woman’s blood pressure? And the work isn’t even that great. They overextended a half wall that they had to build, which they then had to correct. Now the wall is visibly curved and the floor bounces underneath the spot they corrected because it wasn’t floated properly. They didn’t remove some plaster because the “insulation would fall”, except that there is lath underneath. This created an issue with our bathroom fan. I had to shop vac a bunch of junk out of the walls so it wouldn’t get left behind there when they dry walled. The painter decided it would be good for him to visit on a Sunday morning, which we felt obligated to accommodate because the project had already been delayed. The painter somehow got my number, even though all communication had been going through my wife, and my number was not in rebaths system. We still don’t know how he got it, or why he thought calling me was better than continuing to work with my wife. So watching my wife absolutely in bits over the stress of this, for talking so long, for doing mediocre work - that was the last straw. I DO NOT recommend this company. I will be reaching out to the CCB. I want that half wall fixed so it doesn’t annoy me every time I walk past it, but I will not allow this company back into my home. They will pay the bill for another contractor of my choosing to fix the wall. And that’s that. Edit: The painting is garbage too. They didn’t tape anything off, just hand painted the trim. It is uneven as can be. There’s spot of paint all over our brand new floors. This company should be ashamed."

AAA Handyman Co. provides small to medium sized repairs or alterations to residential and commercial dwellings. No job is too small. If in doubt please call us to discuss.

"Matt of AAA Bathtub Refinishing was to properly prep our tub before the refinishing by removing all caulk, and because an old piece was left, when it was pulled out after the job, it left a built-up line of bonded paint that does not reach under the tile edge line, looks terrible, and leaves the job unfinished. There is also another spot that was not properly refinished, and we don't know what this is from--there is nothing we could have done to cause it. When we showed him these issues with pictures the day after, he claimed that it was because my husband did not follow his instructions, namely waiting 24 hours to remove the tape. He did actually do it several hours early, but it was definitely dry, and there is only one place where this specific problem occurred--where there was old caulk that he should have been removed prior to the job (the other issue had nothing to do with this). We saved the piece of caulk that caused this to show him, but Matt is refusing to come back and repair these problems unless we pay him an additional $189. This information was exchanged via an email with my husband. I called and left him a voicemail, asking that he call to discuss, and he did not return my call. My husband then emailed and asked him reduce this $189 fee by half to repair these issues, even though we did not cause the damage. He never replied. He did not properly do the job, and then did not follow up with us, providing terrible customer service. Do not hire this company."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can absolutely remove rust from a bathtub drain, and doing so can improve the appearance of your tub. Combine three parts baking soda with one part vinegar and mix into a paste. Apply the paste over the drain and let it sit for about an hour before rinsing with cold water. Repeat the process if some rust stains remain. If the stains return, consider installing a water softener, as ongoing issues with bathtub drain rust usually indicate hard water.

The cost of installing a new bathtub is considerably more expensive than refinishing an existing one, so if you’re looking to upgrade your tub on a budget, you might be better off refinishing it for now. Additionally, if your tub has only minor damage, refinishing it will make it look new again without the extra demolition and time.

Yes. Common materials for Roman tubs are acrylic, fiberglass, cast iron, and stone resin. The choice you make can depend on various factors, including weight, cost, durability, style, heat retention, and aesthetics. Ultimately, it really depends on your space to determine the best option.

Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.

A peeling bathtub is not a good thing. It’s a sign that the finish is coming off, and continued exposure to water and cleaning products can continue to damage the finish and eventually the underlying structure of the tub. What starts as a few chips or flakes can worsen into large chunks peeling off.
