"I hired Tim and his crew to replace an old shingle roof, add gable eaves and to install shingle roof with an attic fan. They removed the old roof in one day and left the property cleaner than before they started, which was outstanding! They stayed busy over the next couple of days and completed the work on time and the quality was excellent. I intend to call them again soon when the rest of my remodel is needed. I recommend Pacific Builders."

"James and Dustin were very professional, patient, and supportive with all our questions/concerns.
They provided photos of areas where work was performed and we could not see.  Having been burned by finding work undone but paid for by past company, this was piece of mind and a support every contractor should offer!
We will recommend Pressure Point Roofing, Inc and call upon them again for any of our roofing needs.  Thanks guys!

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Fall is widely considered the best time of year to replace a roof. The moderate temperatures are ideal for roofing crews to work and for new shingles to seal properly. Additionally, autumn weather is often drier, reducing the risk of weather-related delays compared to the rainier spring season.

While spring is also a viable option, the higher chance of rainfall can slow down the project. The main drawback to a fall installation is that it's the peak season for roofers, which can lead to higher prices and scheduling challenges.

To potentially save money, you could consider scheduling your roof replacement during the summer or winter off-seasons. However, both seasons have significant disadvantages. Extreme summer heat can make shingles too soft to handle, while winter's cold, snow, and ice can create dangerous working conditions and prevent shingles from sealing correctly, as they typically require temperatures above 40-45°F.

The size of the dumpster will determine how many squares of shingles can fit in a dumpster. You can place between 4 to 20 squares of shingles in most standard containers.

Yes, many chimney professionals offer cap installations to prevent debris buildup and animal entry.

Most traditional lenders will not loan against a house with a leaking roof, and some lenders won’t lend against a home with a roof near the end of its lifespan. If the roof on your new home is in poor condition, you may need to have the seller offer a credit for a roof replacement after closing, or you can opt for a renovation loan—also called a 203k loan—to bundle the house and the roof replacement into one loan.

A metal roof can last anywhere from 15 to over 100 years, with an average of 50 years, depending on the material, installation, and environment. The specific metal is a key factor: aluminum roofs may last 20 to 45 years, while steel can last 30 to 60 years. Tin can last for up to 75 years, and more durable options like zinc, stainless steel, and copper can last from 80 to over 100 years. Factors that can shorten a metal roof's lifespan include living in a coastal region with corrosive salt air, improper installation (such as laying over old shingles), and failing to inspect and replace fasteners, which may wear out before the panels.
