"Awhile back I decided it was time to replace my old, crumbling shed. After doing a search on Angie’s List, I hired Gryphon Construction because they had good reviews. The process worked, and I must say that I’m super happy with the results I got. Not only were Akeem and company great to work with, they did an excellent job, and and I’m extremely happy with my new shed. (The only reason I’m not calling it “shop” is because I didn’t have power installed). It’s solid, has a locking door, as well as a window, and looks more like a tiny house than the shed that proceeded it. And while they were here, I also had them install a new track for a broken pocket door, which involved removing some dry wall to get at the work-out track. They did a great job on that, too, and I’m very happy with the remodel. I found them to be pleasant to do business with, as well as very conscientious, timely, and they have a strong sense of craftsmanship, which, after all, is what we all want in a good contractor. I highly recommend them!"

Matthew responded to my request very quickly. He asked questions about the situation that showed he had the expertise we needed. He came to the house within a day of agreeing to perform the work and completed the most urgent task that day. He needed other tools to complete the installation of the grab bar drilled into the shower tiles, so he had to return at a later time. The sales person Phil McDodson, made an agreement to stay with the project through to the permit but walked away as soon as the county required additional information. At that point Janae Spinney stepped in and would not quit on me until that promise was complete. A special thanks to Joseph and Caleb for getting us through to the end. Every engineer and staff member with TVP was polite, knowledgeable and saw the job through. It was just approved January, 2025. Great company and I appreciate all you did for us!"

He met with the city and sorted out the codes we could use (duplex with 2 ADUs), and worked with us and the city the whole way through our work together. "Not sure what I was expecting when procuring the services of a 'lighting architect.' He was responsive (in spite of some family health issues) and had some great ideas. His billing rate is probably fair. In retrospect I would have liked to sit down with him, with the catelogs, discuss alternatives and make the decision.....rather than select some of the fixtures from recommended websites. However, he was there when the final decisions were made, and we are happy with the outcome."
