"After having 2 different vendors look at the roof and performed repairs, the roof still leaked. That's when I called Justin at Ridgid, he had done some HVAC work for me before. After doing the inspection of the roof, Justin and his team gave me detailed analysis of what was going on and what my options were. While the best option would be to replace the whole roof. Justin and his team were honest about the cost and offered to fix the issue first and see if held up. If it worked I could save some money. So they went ahead and fixed the roof. And voila had no issues after that. They were able to resolve the issue at a fraction of the cost for me. Highly recommend, straight forward and honest."

"Iq was wonderful to work with! He’s extremely knowledgeable in the roofing industry. He helped communicate with the insurance company and the adjuster to make sure we were being covered properly. He kept us informed along the way and even found us a better deal on shingles that are better quality than what the insurance company would pay for. He also put in new gutters with the roof that gave our home an entirely new better look! I would highly recommend IQ Roofing!"

"I had 4 roofing companies come out and gave me estimates for my roof. Jeremy was the only one who showed us the process of what he was going to do for our roof on his IPad. He showed pictures of all of the steps in the process for doing our roof. Explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions. He didn't try to sell his service to us, he showed us what his service is and will do! That's something all of the other 3 companies didn't do! What the other 3 did was say "We will save you a bunch of money"! Jeremy proved it to me, it's not about the money it's about doing the job right and doing the job professionally! I would highly recommend Jeremy and Wrightway Roofing!!!"

"Process, product, and workmanship were exceptional! Great company to work with. This was a seamless process from start to finish. The owner was my POC, always punctual, on site making sure all my needs were taken care of, the job was done correctly, and to my satisfaction. Who does that any more? Once we started the process, everything went fast from there. The roofing team was in and out in no time, clean up was excellent, like no-one had ever been there. Awesome people and company to work with. My next roof will be done by Sooner Commercial Roofing. Yours should be too!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

You can replace a roof in the winter, though it’s not the most popular time to do so. The biggest drawback of winter roofing work is the weather. Snow and ice make for dangerous, slippery working conditions. Plus, shingles can only be installed in temperatures above 40 to 45 degrees.

The best time to replace a roof is in the spring or fall when the weather is mild. However, you can likely save some money by booking the job in the winter off-season, when roofers have more availability.

Verify that your roof is licensed and insured by visiting your state's contractor's licensing association. Most states have a database to double-check your contractor's name and address against the information provided. The contractor should also display both their license and insurance on their website with links to the related agencies.

No, you should not close or cover your gable vents in the winter. While it might seem logical to block cold air, heating your home creates hot air that rises and can cause condensation in the attic. If the vents are covered, this moisture becomes trapped, creating an ideal environment for mold and mildew. Keeping the gable vents open ensures proper ventilation, which helps dry out the attic, maintain even temperatures, and prevent moisture-related damage.

Chimney crowns are located above the final brick layer at the top of a chimney. It’s important to get regular chimney maintenance and inspection, because it is near impossible to spot chimney crown damage without getting on your roof.

The cost to install a drip edge on an existing roof runs about $1 to $3 per linear foot, which comes out to between $150 and $1,000, with an average cost of $575. These are just averages; the total project price can vary depending on the type of drip edge chosen and whether you hire a professional for the installation. Factors like roof size, complexity, and labor rates also play a role in determining the final cost.
