"Earth and Arbor does extremely good work. Caleb and Jake are very knowledgeable and take real pride and care in what they do. "I had Pete do several things for me. First he laid a concrete foundation for my home, then installed a septic system, next he ran water and electric lines to the home. After the home was delivered, I had him paint the entire inside of the home, he also installed the skirting as well. Everything come out exactly as I wanted. Pete does a great job and is very professional. He is busy so it may take a couple days before he can get started but once he does, he works hard and fast. His quality of work is top notch."

"Very professional. They arrived when they said they would, worked until dark the first night and completed the job about 2:30 on the next day. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the end result. I would highly recommend this service to anyone."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

You should use mulch because it protects garden soil in a few key ways. This extra layer between the ground and the elements protects against erosion, helps your soil maintain moisture, regulates changes in temperature, adds nutrients as it decomposes, and keeps weeds at bay.

Finding a reputable greenhouse or nursery should start online, where you can read through customer reviews to gauge the quality of the plants sold and the customer experience. Look out for customers complaining about plants dying shortly after purchase, and try to choose a greenhouse known for hiring employees who are able to explain how to care for the plants you purchase. It’s also a good idea to head to a few greenhouses to see the selection they offer and make sure they carry the plants or trees you’re looking for.

There are some instances when you can use extra drywall in your garden. Ideally, unused scraps of new drywall are best for amending soil without the concern of additional chemicals or mold. However, drywall with paint, mold, or potential asbestos requires specialized disposal by a professional and should be kept out of your garden.

Yes, if you are using rocks to form a pathway or driveway, it’s a good idea to first install landscape fabric before layering in your rocks. Landscape fabric is your first line of defense against unwanted grass and weeds on your rocky surface.

Costs for lakefront landscaping are influenced by project size, choice of plants and materials, labor, and any additional features or structures desired. Projects can range from a few thousand dollars to extensive transformations costing much more.
