"Kitchen drain had been gurgling for months. That didn’t get my attention but when it stopped draining…well time to act. Ivan listened to my problem, took a look and gave me my options. As requested he tried to snake the drain but couldn’t get the snake to advance. Got a smaller snake with the same issue. The snake came back with rust and sludge. Well kitchen sinks are rather important so i gave the OK to replace the stack. Note that I live in a century home with 100 yo cast iron stacks. I nearly fainted when he showed me how the rust and sludge had narrowed the stack’s diameter to the size of my pinky.
