We decided to undertake a major (to us) update/renovation of our entire first floor flooring, including removing a dated looking "elevated" living room area. We were excited to review and discuss the project with Doug as he took the time to hear our vision, take pictures and measurements. We felt the estimate was very fair and immediately hired them for the job. The entire process went very smooth and thorough. DBC has a broad selection of talent and we felt that each friendly face that showed up truly contributed to the project. DBC made sure to address every concern and made sure that we were satisfied with every phase. The project turned out great and we love our new look space! "BEST CONTRACTOR EVER! The project included an exterior ramp, 1st fl laundry & 1/2 bath near the kitchen. I needed the ramp done 1st for an elderly person being released from physical rehab in under a wk. He worked very hard through the worst days of the smoke from the Canada forest fires. He understood ADA requirements and built accordingly. Plus, he suggested things I hadn't thought of like widening the mudroom doorway for a wheel chair if needed in the future & raising the mudroom floor just a little to keep it level with the kitchen floor. The ramp is very sturdy. The senior is using it with great confidence. The interior revamp went very well & was just what our senior needed. Not only did he have the project done in a timely manner, but while walking through Lowes he noticed a stackable washer & dryer 20% off, unopened box. He texted me & we grabbed it! Dave not only knows the construction business but goes above & beyond what's needed and he has a good heart."

"Eli and his crew did a very good job. They completed the the work quickly (3 days) and professionally. Antonio and William were very good at their jobs.They were also friendly and polite. They worked hard and stayed until each phase of the project was completed every day (generally10 hour days). These two workers are well versed in all aspects of remodeling and their craftsmanship was very good. We would rate the quality as B+. I suppose if they had a dedicated tiler, a dedicated carpenter, a dedicated plumber, etc the quality would have been slightly higher - but the cost would be much higher. So the value is excellent.
As with any project like this, there were a couple of minor bumps along way but they took care of them quickly and thoroughly. They even returned to fix a couple of things that popped up after the job was completed. They answered all of our questions and made sure we were satisfied with the results.

"We found the black mold and immediately did a search for mold removal companies on Angie's list. Far too many times we've encountered poor quality customer service and quality work on projects in our home in the past, which is why my husband does all of our home improvements. This issue however was far beyond our realm of expertise. When we contacted Puroclean, they came with in 24 hours to inspect the mold and give us a quote. After inspection, they informed my husband they would be happy to stay and remove the mold THAT day, which was even better. Unfortunately, my husband still had to open up another wall in my daughter's soon to be bedroom in order to assure there wasn't mold in there, so he told them he'd call them back to schedule once we knew if that wall also needed the mold removal. My husband was than offered that IF we did find mold in her room, they would take care of that as well for the same price estimate we were given for just the play room! Given the scale of this home project, this was a huge relief for us, and so refreshing as many professionals we have encountered are not so kind. Not only was my husband very pleased with their professionalism, but he was also very happy with the quality of work they provided. Hecter and Jason were the professionals that came to our home and removed/sanitized the wall that had the black mold. Everything is now clean and safe and my husband can move forward with finishing the remodel. We are beyond happy with the quality of work and piece of mind that was provided to us. And although we would absolutely use this company in the future if we ever needed to, we truly hope we don't have to as this was an unexpected and scary home improvement we hope to not have to make again! It went extremely well. Jason was kind enough to allow me to walk with him during his evaluation, which I know can be annoying to some contractors. But not Jason - he was kind and professional the whole time. He explained every review he was making, what he was looking for, and how he would be able to help us not only get up to code, but make it safe and sleek. He was incredibly detailed, and his report was wonderfully presented and easy to follow.

He would go on to replace our electric panel the following week. It is by far the best job I've ever had done by a contractor. Flawless work, beautiful presentation. He truly goes the extra mile to give his customers not only function, but the best success rate moving forward. We started with a mess of cables and lines, with a 50 year old outdated panel, and ended with a brand new panel, beautifully crafted and organized. Now everything is sleek and clean, easy to cover, and my wife and I now are confident our system will run smoothly for years. Our old panel would randomly shut itself off...now we have a reliable and safe system we can be proud of. I love showing off our new home to our friends and family and now I want to include the work Jason did!
