"It's been a little over a year since Everdry finished waterproofing our basement. We liked everyone we worked with throughout the project. We have been so pleased with their work. They use a Multi Step System which keeps ground water away from your home. The installation of the EZ Breathe Ventilation System is a game changer too. Plus - Lifetime, transferable warranty!"

"This project went about as well as I could have hoped for. Their sales contact was very informative and took the time to explain how this process works. Their prices were on the lower end of the quotes I had received. All in about $7,000 to waterproof my entire basement. They were professional, timely, and communicative. I felt like I was in very good hands. One year later, my basement has not had a single leak. I may soon be hiring them again for another project. This company is solid! I highly recommend them."

"Corey, the owner of Lee’s Plumbing, saw my request - on a Friday night - on Angie’s List, and he texted me! Asked me to call him. He said he could check out our water heater, which was very old and leaking, and came by the next morning. Corey was SO nice and helpful and communicative! He advised us that a 50 gallon tank was plenty for our household of 4 (we had a 75 gal) and that he could install it early the next week. Corey came by on Saturday morning, gave us a written quote for our home warranty company, and we settled on an install on Monday. Corey showed up Monday, right on time with a new water heater and a smile on his face! He brought a helper to get out our old 70-gallon tank up the stairs. In no time at all, the new heater was installed and the old, leaking tank was hauled away. Corey completely cleaned up the wet basement and solved our problem in no time! We’re calling Lee’s Plumbing for any future plumbing needs! Pic of new tank in basement!"

"We got several quotes for a basement foundation issue. While they were not the cheapest they were the most professional and the only one that offered a warranty on their work. Would use them again."

"Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I took multiple bids on my basement project across basement companies in Columbus. Mid state basement systems had the best and most fair pricing. They did not use any scare tactics and were upfront and honest. They were also the only company to use a laser level and show me the sag difference in my joists that I was experiencing. I hired mid-state basement systems to do crawl space support and repair on my load bearing wall in my basement. MY PROBLEM WAS UNIQUE AS LOAD BEARING WALLS NORMALLY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPAIRED LIKE THIS! At first, it was not level upon completion (BARELY 1/8 INCH OFF) in ONE spot and I let my sales rep Jiovanni know. the team came back out within 48 hrs and adjusted everything and let me take a look at it. They did a fantastic job. The installation crew even wiped down my floors for me after they were done! They were so polite, and respectful and made sure there was no damage to anything as they were moving steel beams to my basement ( my fridge was an object in the way to the basement door ) Do not let competitors make you question the validity of this business. they were fantastic. Rating of sales 5/5 Rating of the installation crew 5/5 Rating of management 5/5 Rating of mid-state as a company : 10/5 I do not believe I would have received this level of responsiveness of any of the competitors. I would choose mid-state basements for any basement project I had. Please use my review to know that mid-state basement systems will do the job the right way and how you need it to be done. In my experience, they offer the most fair pricing."

"Crew did an excellent job. They arrived on time (if not a little early) and worked hard digging outside to get to the area of the foundation that needed repair to a couple of small cracks. They did identify the main source of water intrusion around the window area and made sure they fixed it properly. They waterproofed the window area and a large section of the exposed foundation to make sure they had maximum coverage to stop any water intrusion. Haven't had any problems since then."

"Finished job very quickly and efficiently. Concrete looks beautiful. Some areas do not drain super well but most of it does. 1 or two spots on the edge have some hollowed out holes underneath"

Foundation Drain Installation FAQs, answered by experts

If you hire a professional, installing a new sewage ejector pump costs $850 to $3,500, or an average of $2,300. Otherwise, if you handle the installation yourself, you can expect to pay $500 to $1,000 for the sewage ejector pump, permits, and other supplies required for this DIY project.

A sump pump is one of the most common ways to get excess moisture out of your home, but it’s not the only way. If your home doesn't have a sump pump, other options to get excess water out of the basement include trash pumps, submersible pumps, service pumps, and hand-crank pumps. However, it’s worth calling a pro in to assess your situation and potentially install a sump pump for you.

A sump pump can be added to an existing basement. To do this, you will need to use a jackhammer or sledgehammer to break up the concrete and dig a pit. You will also need to create a hole in your basement wall to run the discharge pipe through.

No. Sump pumps have different capacities, which refers to the volume of water that they can remove. They also come in various horsepower ratings, which measure the size of the pump’s motor. For many homes, 1/3 horsepower is enough. But if you live in an area that floods often, you might need a more powerful model.

There are a couple of similar alternatives you may consider for a sewage ejector pump, including a grinder pump or a submersible sump pump. Submersible sump pumps protect your home from flooding from outside water, though, rather than handling wastewater from inside. A grinder pump macerates, or shreds, solid waste before pumping it onward to the sewer line.
