"I highly recommend Ken and his crew!!! They are total professionals. I was impressed with his quick response to my call, as well as his expertise. The installation of my air conditioning and furnace was scheduled quickly and they were immaculate. He made some changes that improved heating/ cooling in the entire house. Iâ  m also leased with the warranty and service after the sale. Thank you for a job well done!"

"Due to an electrical storm last year, We've been without central air since Oct. 2016. And no one could replace our old propeller that got hit by lightning but "Grainger." Dale was Prompt & Polite. Dale is delightful, honest, fair, & knows what he's doing and obviously loves what he does. He was very nice, understanding and patient with my questions & he took his time explaining several details with great answers! Very reasonable pricing for all the work he done. He'll be our go to Central Air Repair Man if ever we need him. However, he did introduce a lot of DIYs for us to try first in case of emergencies. I simply can't say enough good about Dale. He's the absolute BEST!"

"We did not think it was even possible for our old house to have central air. After a consultation we were pleasantly surprised that our 3 story home with no duct work had a full install of central air. No more window units!! The install happened shortly after the consult and was done in a very timely manner . He was informative from day one explaining all the work that was involved . I could not be happier with this investment to Our home and found that his pricing was very reasonable."

"New furnace and air. Everyone gave great customer service. They were on time and did what they said they would do. There are less and less companies that feel it is needed to show up when they said they would or even call to say they arenâ t coming. They seem to value customer service."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Modern AC leak sealants work as a temporary measure to stop refrigerant leaks. You can purchase them at most home improvement stores or on online. When using an AC leak sealant, keep in mind that it’s only a temporary solution, so you’ll still need to hire a pro to install a replacement part as soon as possible.

The best way to reduce heat upstairs is to release it by opening a window. Hot air rises, and if you can create some airflow by opening a window upstairs and also one on a lower level, the hot air should be pushed out of the home. Remember that fans pointing out the window do a much better job of circulating air than fans pointing into the home.

The best way to compare HVAC quotes is getting a few detailed quotes from local companies with good reputations. Then, go over the quotes line by line. Protect yourself by insisting on in-person estimates that include equipment manufacturer names, model numbers, SEER ratings, amounts and numbers of materials, details of warranties on equipment and labor, and other specifics.

Knowing the exact equipment and materials is the only way that you can fairly compare quotes. Quotes that are much lower than others can be a sign that the company isn’t providing the best quality service or materials.

A dirty AC filter can lower the efficiency of your system, so depending on how dirty it was, you may notice a temperature difference when you clean your filter. You can try other solutions if your AC isn’t blowing as cold as it used to. You can call in a local HVAC tech to make sure everything is running correctly, fix your air seal if it’s a window unit, and clean your coils.

The cost to replace an AC evaporator coil is typically between $600 and $2,500, with an average cost around $1,300 to $1,350. The price of the coil itself can range from $550 to $1,100, depending on the brand, size, and style, with professional labor adding around $700. Replacing a condenser coil is generally less expensive, costing about $800. Because this repair involves handling refrigerants, it requires a licensed AC professional. Regular inspections, which cost between $200 and $600, can help prevent costly coil replacements.
