"New Central Air Conditioning... Scott was great to work with from my first contact with him through Home Advisor...Lynn and his son did a great job on the installation of our new air conditioning system...Would DEFINITELY suggest them to anyone who needs any type of air or heating work done!! "Due to an electrical storm last year, We've been without central air since Oct. 2016. And no one could replace our old propeller that got hit by lightning but "Grainger." Dale was Prompt & Polite. Dale is delightful, honest, fair, & knows what he's doing and obviously loves what he does. He was very nice, understanding and patient with my questions & he took his time explaining several details with great answers! Very reasonable pricing for all the work he done. He'll be our go to Central Air Repair Man if ever we need him. However, he did introduce a lot of DIYs for us to try first in case of emergencies. I simply can't say enough good about Dale. He's the absolute BEST!"

"We did not think it was even possible for our old house to have central air. After a consultation we were pleasantly surprised that our 3 story home with no duct work had a full install of central air. No more window units!! The install happened shortly after the consult and was done in a very timely manner . He was informative from day one explaining all the work that was involved . I could not be happier with this investment to Our home and found that his pricing was very reasonable."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s important to turn off your AC sometimes to give it a break and prevent it from freezing up. If your AC runs all the time, your system’s parts will wear down quicker, which may mean that you need to replace it sooner. Plus, using your AC constantly uses more electricity and leads to higher energy bills.

Yes. Your air supply should be balanced. The return and supply ducts need to maintain that balance, and this only occurs because an equal amount of air should be entering and leaving your HVAC system. Changes in pressure, extreme weather, and blocking vents with furniture or your stuff can make the air supply unbalanced and cause your home to get too cold or hot.

Indications of an HVAC problem include inconsistent heating or cooling throughout your home, unpredictable temperature changes, or inadequate air flow from vents. Abnormal sounds such as grinding, banging, or hissing, and unpleasant smells like mustiness or burning are also potential warning signs. A rise in energy costs without an increase in usage may also imply decreased efficiency. An HVAC system that frequently cycles on and off or cannot maintain a stable temperature is malfunctioning.

Yes, mini split systems cool equally as well as central air. While a central system circulates air throughout the entire home at the same temperature, a mini split system allows each room to be cooled or heated at different temperatures based on your own preferences. Hire a HVAC professional to determine which type of system is best for your home.

This is a bit of a trick question. Even though the seasons arrive at the same time every year, the weather doesn’t always behave according to the calendar. So, while it’s fair to say that you can expect to turn on your AC starting in late May or early June, it all depends on the outside temperature and how cool you like to keep your home.
