(We caught a break with the weather.)  The new sidewalk is built better than the old one: the original builder had laid the old one down direct on the ground, with no underlayment, and had made it too thin.  Kevin's crew tamped gravel down under the sidewalk and installed rebar, as it should have been from the beginning.  They worked hard, kept the worksite tidy, and were polite and prompt.
