"They came to the house free of charge to provide a quote to install a ceiling fan in an 18’ to 20’ high great room. They were $1,000 less than quote provided by another company. They had to come back with special equipment and additional personnel to complete the job, but checked the fan before leaving and suggested we pickup a longer down rod before they returned. They were on time for both appointments, friendly and completed the job in the approximate amount of time they indicated it would take. Would hire them again."

"Adam and Nick arrived on time and performed the fan installation quickly and efficiently. The men acted as a team and helped the job to go faster. After seeing how the job went, we asked Adam to look at another project and after hearing his diagnosis and estimate contracted with him to do another job."

"Quite well - installation was mess free!!!! They went in through a soffit and could complete their work with out blowing insulation in from inside (attic access). Whatever was left behind in the house, they cleaned up. House is warmer, furnace is not on every 10 minutes! Ray was helpful and professional as was his crew. Nice job!"

"The crew arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They were like machines from the time they arrived until the time they finished wasting no time. I would like to recognize Nick B. The crew leader, Greg L and Logan they came into the apt., looked around, formed a game plan and got to work. This is the second time I have used this company and will use them for my move to Columbus later this year. I won’t consider anyone else because of the great service provided on both occasions of using them. My cost was a little more because I chose to have them cover my furniture with their blankets which they will take off and refund me for with my move to Columbus"

"Did an excellent job in every way. Was here when he said he would be here, stayed with the original quote even though much more work was necessary. We chose to add to the quote in the form of a "tip" just because he worked so hard and did such a wonderful job we felt he earned more than he had quoted us. All in all, this was a very satisfactory experience, and with our old home, it could have been a totally different outcome with the wrong person doing the installation. We have a beautiful new sink, and a terrific new toilet installation and are very happy we chose Coach."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

You should generally avoid using WD-40 on a ceiling fan. While it might quiet a squeak temporarily, it is primarily an anti-corrosion and water displacement agent, not a true lubricant, and can damage the fan's components over time. Most modern ceiling fans have sealed bearings and do not require oiling, so a squeak may indicate another issue. For fans that do require lubrication, it is better to use a light machine oil, 30-weight motor oil, or a lubricant specifically designed for ceiling fans.

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

Wood stove fans are designed to operate quietly, emitting only a subtle hum from their motor. This low noise level ensures minimal disruption in your living space, allowing you to enjoy the warmth without distraction. The fan blades, which are engineered for efficient air circulation, contribute to the overall quiet operation. This makes wood stove fans a practical choice for maintaining a peaceful environment while effectively distributing heat throughout your room or home.

There are many types of ceiling fans available, each designed for different spaces and needs. Standard ceiling fans are the most common type and work well in most rooms. Low-profile ceiling fans are better suited for rooms with low ceilings. Smart ceiling fans can be controlled with a smartphone or voice commands. For larger spaces with ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, large ceiling fans are ideal. Dual-motor fans have two motors to produce more airflow in multiple directions. You can also find energy-efficient or Energy-Star models that can be up to 60% more efficient, as well as fans with built-in lights or retractable blades.

While it may seem like it makes sense to put a fan in the attic to cool it down, it won’t be as effective as installing attic fans. Ventilation installed near the peak of the roof, whether passive (just allowing heat to escape) or active (drawing the air up and out) will be more effective at cooling the attic.
