Mr. Ferris did an excellent job surveying my property in order to have the information needed to build a fence. He marked the corners of the property and midpoints and provided a map. Very reliable and easy to work with. I would highly recommend.

I got a quick response to my request for a quote. He was able to fit me in quickly just because things worked out. He was on site when he said he would be and finished in less time than he had estimated. When I explained why we were getting the survey done, he added a couple of extra markers to help with the work that was being done later. I requested information from 3 different surveyors. He was the first to respond. The second to respond directed me to the website where the pricing information did not match what was in the email that was sent. The third surveyor never responded. Definitely would recommend Ferris

I didn't need a formal survey, just wanted the property markers uncovered. Other surveyors I contacted didn't want to bother with such a small job, but Ferris Surveying agreed to come out on a day he was doing another job in the area. He stressed that there were no guarantees like you would get with a formal survey. He is honest and easy to work with. Charged a reasonable $100

Because Mr. Hoyt's cost was greater than another one quote given to us, we did not use his service. Even under those circumstances he was kind enough to give us pointers to avoid possible problems with the person we decided to use. Mr. Hoyt was very prompt in returning my initial call and was very professional. I would definitely consider using his services in the future, should the need arise. In the long run, cost isn't everything. We felt that Mr. Hoyt was much more professional and helpful than the person we used

They were on time and performed the work as they said they would. They marked the one property line as I had asked and provided a plot map as I had requested as well. I was very pleased with the surveyors they sent out.

WITHIN A WEEK OR TWO, THEY ACCOMPLISHED THE TASK OF STAKING PROPERTY, AND THEY SAID IT WOULD COST UNDER $500 WHICH IT WAS. MOST OTHERS QUOTED $500+. ONE QUOTE WAS $800-$1100!

RUDY SCHWARTZ

I came to Rudy Schwartz because I was building a barn. I needed some land parcels that I owned adjacent to my house parcel joined to my house to accommodate the zoning requirement that: a) the barn be on the same parcel as my house (the site we chose put it on the boundary line of the 2 adjacent parcels we owned); b) the new parcel had to be a minimum 3 acres; and c) the barn had to be located a minimum of 90? from the new parcel?s boundaries. Also, the permitting process requires a surveyor to install iron pins at the corners of any new parcels, and a scaled drawing (?plat?) is needed as well. Rudy helped me lay out the size and boundary of the added piece, helped prepare the documents to split off a piece of one of the existing parcels and to consolidate the resulting 3 pieces into one. His men came out to our property twice to survey the existing property lines and to install the required iron pins. He prepared legal descriptions of the new parcels and worked with the county map room to obtain their approval. Overall he was very helpful in guiding me through the process needed to establish a ?legal? site for my proposed new barn

"I requested a quote and Mr.Ferris was very quick to respond. I had to wait a couple of months for him to come out, since I did call at a busy time, but it was well worth it. Mr.Ferris's communication is excellent. I cannot tell you how nice it is to have someone call you back when they say they will. The survey was done quickly and professionally. I needed the survey for a fence. He found the two back markers, which were buried, he offered to mark off the middle of the property where the fence would start (to which I happily agreed to), and installed markers at the front of the property. Mr. Ferris was even kind enough to expedite the drawing so the fencing company could apply for a permit right away. He even called to tell me it had been mailed. It arrived right on time. He did all of this for an extremely reasonable price. Thank you, Mr. Ferris! I'll happily recommend you to anyone who needs a survey done.

"We were very pleased with the efficiency of the service provided and the professionalism of all involved. The job required 2 visits (either side of the weekend) due to the plot's awkward shape. We had been told to expect prices in the range of $600 so were pleased that going through Henry Fencing gave us a cheaper rate. This company was listed on Angie's List with a different address to the one we received.

"Great. John returnd my initial call the same day. I explained that we were looking for a quick turn around on the the survey because we wanted to submit to the city for approval to complete the foundation of the addition before winter. We got on his schedule within a week of submitting the retainer (half of the total estimated cost). John worked with our designer and contacted the city directly to insure that the survey provided all the required information for approval. He took the extra step of e-mailing the City Engineer a draft of the survey proposal for comment before finalizing it. This saved us having to go back to him after submitting to the city for approval because the Engineer did make some changes. I submitted the plans to the City on Friday October 4th, 2013 and received approval on Wednesday the 9th. This never would have happend if John had not submitted the draft ahead of time. While the quote for services from John R. Hoy and Associates was not the cheapest I believe that the extra money was well worth it based on the quick approval from the city and the fact we are going to break gound before the end of the month. Thank you John.
