"AA Window Washing did an amazing job on our window and screen cleaning. The windows and screens are so clean it doesn't even look like they are in. Additionally they scrubbed all the window sills. The two gentlemen that came were on time, respectful, quiet (I was working from home). They took their shoes off without us asking. Just an all around awesome job! 21 windows and screens"

"I had 11 windows and Wrapping completed in January 2017 and I was completely happy with the work. I decided to have the remaining 12 windows installed. I am extremely pleased with the Windows and the trim. I would definitely recommend this company if you are thinking of buying windows."

"Prompt & on time for giving estimate and for doing the job. We had window tinting of 3 skylights and also window washing of all exterior windows. We were extremely happy with this company. The workman was very pleasant and also very knowledgeable about his products. The quality of the work was terrific. The price for the job was very reasonable, too. We will definitely use this company again and would not hesitate to recommend them to others."

"The process of scheduling the window cleaning was easy. We received an estimate as promised, and were able to schedule the work to our satisfaction - and actually came a few days earlier than anticipated, which was a great help. All communications were timely, courteous and professional. The work was performed as contracted, however, despite being much cleaner than before their work, a number of the windows had streaks, or window corners were missed in the cleaning process, particularly noticeable in late afternoon direct sun. As a result, we needed to touch up and clean ourselves the windows that had previously be cleaned. In all, the windows were much cleaner - but could have been even more so. In comparison to our usual window cleaning service (on vacation), the cost was greater and the work wasn't quite as thorough. We had time constraints and needed to have the cleaning done ASAP."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Window cleaning depends on how the cleaning service defines their deep cleaning tasks, so pay attention to the details. You certainly should make sure window cleaning is included in the package. Some services will include it as an add-on, so you may have to pay extra. Find out if the cleaning includes interior windows only, or interior and exterior windows. Exterior windows may cost more.

Glass block windows aren’t fire hazards; fire-rated glass block windows can increase your home’s fire safety. Modern glass blocks are made with materials that can resist high temperatures and prevent fire spread. Most offer a 45-minute fire rating, while some increase it to two hours. Compared to the typical 20 to 90 minute rating for a double-pane window, glass block can increase your home’s safety in the event of a fire.

You will need about half of a caulking cartridge to caulk one window. The average home has eight to 10 windows, so you would need about 4 or 5 cartridges to caulk every window in an average-sized house. However, you may not need to caulk all the windows at once. If just one window has a pesky draft, you may only need half of a cartridge to fill in the gaps.

A double-hung window features two operable sashes, meaning it has an upper window part and a lower part that can both open to let in fresh air. A picture window has one fixed glass panel that doesn’t open. Double-hung windows cost about $200 to $2,500, while picture windows cost about $200 to $1,900.

In addition to protecting your home from costly storm damage, storm windows increase your home's value if you live in an area that’s prone to severe weather. Storm windows offer about an 80% return on investment (ROI). Therefore, if you install $10,000 worth of storm windows, you can expect to get around $8,000 back if you sell your home within a few years of installation. Additionally, highly hurricane-prone areas, like the Florida coast, offer even higher returns, with ROIs on storm windows reaching up to 86%.
