- Elden Draperies, Blinds and ShadesWe hired Elden Draperies to do some Window blinds on a recommendation from a friend. They set up an appointment with us and were out within a few days of our initial phone call. The gentlemen that came out discussed what we wanted, measured the windows and gave us a quote right away. They are custom made in their shop and they promised us that they would be completed in a 2 week period, and installed promptly. Although we thought they were a little high, we were completely happy with the blinds and the installation. The blinds look wonderful! We would definitely hire them again
- BUDGET BLINDSUnfortunately, I can't remember the name of my salesperson, but he was excellent from start to finish. I really wanted to get window treatments up quickly since I had absolutely no privacy in the house when I moved in, and I was able to get an appointment within 2 days for him to come measure the house and show me my options. I was very impressed that he was even willing to come in the evening on a weekend! I called another local window treatment place in Toledo to try to comparison shop, and they were not willing to come on the weekend or weekday evenings! My salesperson was also very quick to respond to questions any time of the week. It was clear to me that he valued my business and was willing to work around my schedule to make things work. When he came for the consultation, he asked me what I was thinking about and then showed me what he thought would best fit my needs. He told me about pretty much the entire range from cheap to super expensive so I knew what they offered, but pretty much honed directly on what I was looking for and did not once attempt to up-sell. I was pretty indecisive when it came to colors, but he was very patient and just held up the various samples as many times as I wanted until I finally made up my mind (he also gave some helpful input). When it came to pricing, he was willing to price many different options and combinations so I could go through, picking and choosing exactly what I wanted, to wind up in the price range I was looking for with functionality I was looking for. The blinds took about 2 weeks to come in but when they arrived, the installer actually came the same day that he called to set up a time! The installer has been installing blinds for many years and has now worked for Budget Blinds for quite a few years, and it shows! He is friendly and incredibly quick. He had my whole house installed in less than an hour! Unfortunately, one of the measurements was about 5 inches off due to an error in the paperwork. However, the replacement came in about a week later and was also installed very quickly. The salesperson called me to apologize for the error and make sure everything else was completed satisfactorily. The only negative was that all of the blinds, except one which was backordered, showed up when promised. However, they didn't call me right away to set up a time to install the others. I wound up calling them since I was getting impatient and when they saw that the other blinds were all there, they offered to come and install everything they had and just come back when the backordered blinds arrived. I would have preferred if they called me as soon as most of the blinds were in to set up a time for install, instead of me having to call them and find out that all but one had arrived. Overall, very satisfied and would definitely use again or recommend to others. After calling the other blinds place and seeing how unwilling they were to work with my schedule, I am especially happy to have found Budget Blinds first

After much looking, Beth helped me figure it all out and I am happy. I didn't spend a lot of money so I can change things when the mood strikes. "The blinds were beautiful but ¼ inch too long. They normally take ¼ off for security but not this time. And since it was a custom blinds order they also refused to take them back and trim them. As a result, I had to trim them manually with a hacksaw. I’m 8 months pregnant. Very annoying. "

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem.
